What skills does one need to acquire in order to receive a yellow belt?

In order to move from white belt to white belt with yellow stripe in Hapkido, the student must do the following:

• Roll back and forward
• Perform break-falls
• Perform defenses against wrist grabs and hand attacks
• Perform "breaking" (Kyuk Pha)- 1 inch board with kick and 1 inch board with hand.
• Learn the history of Hapikdo an IHF
• Write a 2-page essay

In Hapkido, there are 11 levels, each represented by a belt color.
