Hi I have a sony KV-XR34/KV-XR29/KV-XR25 Triniton Color tv and a sony dvd player DVP-NS575P I want to use the dvd remote to control both tv channels and volume and to play dvd how do I do this I have been trying but it does not control tv is there any tricks?

On the DVD remote there is a TV on/off button. Press and keep holding the button while you press 01. Now release the On/Off button. This will solve the problem

check behind your sony Dvd player for the RCA inputs and fix in the provided RCA cables, match the red jack pin to the red port, white to white and the other end which has one jack pin connect it to your woofer 5.1 speakers. check carefully where to connect as its clearly indicated IN. Remember the remaining yellow cable should be for video signal and the same connected to the monitor for video display.
Connect cables: Connect yellow to yellow (dvd player to TV) Connect white to white (dvd player to TV) Power on DVD and TV and insert a DVD into the player, press PLAY. Use your TV remote to select the proper input: Your remote should have a button like INPUT SELECT or Video, keep pressing until you see the DVD players output.
try to adjust color control of the player some have that or clean the rca jack it may have oxidation already that connection between tv and dvd is no longer have better intact.
almost dvds are recorded in Ntsc & please chang your tv color system so you can see the color because through menu you can olny chang the color system for vcd from your dvd player
you can connect two diffent ways with your bravia lcd tv one is videu out connection from dvd &put the cable in to video in to tv other way is rgb connection there is three color sockets in your dvd player & same as your lcd tv so connect with color wise & switch tv to component
John~ check formats with dvd player can be found in mannual - then burn dvd to suit mp3 or mp4 would normally work~ you can go to Realplayer.com to get tool to download on pc to this job. also try Divx .com / utorret.com or if you can get a Silvercrest dvd player this can also play pc dvd.in may different formats.
