How do i wire analog thermostat to digital

I purchased a replacement control box for my duo therm ac and the part they sent me was 3313189.000. It came with a digital thermostat but the new thermostat has only 3 wires and the old thermostat had 6 wires. There was no wiring diagram in the box. I need to know how to wire the new thermostat.

You need to get a different thermostat.you can change an analog thermostat to digital, but you have to replace the motherboard with a digital compliant one. You can't just change the thermostat. Your best bet is to put back the old thermostat or upgrade to a different compatable thermostat

SOURCE: have a duo therm

A schematic of the part number can be found here... Duo Thermostat Wiring.pdf

Additionally, go HERE for the Dometic Service Manual. See pages 39 and 40 as well as 50 and 51. Depending on which unit you have this gives the colors coding for the leads as well as the placement on the thermostat.

Hope this helps; keep us updated.

Pay attention to wires from control box itself at the ceiling assy. Sometimes they will use a different color from control box, to thermostat. For example: Green coming out of control box, is attached to a blue running to thermostat, so you would attach that blue, to "G" (fan) on thermostat. Match thermostat colors to what is at the control box originally, not what color they used to run it to thermostat from there. Most try to match them, but others don't. What model Ac unit, and what model of thermostat do you have?

Have a duo therm ac and the low ac and low fan not work -

Thermostat on wall, or manual controls at AC? Did it work for you on low before now? Reason I ask, is that normally they are only a 2 speed fan ( low and high) so if it's a wall thermostat and has been changed from original, perhaps it the way the thermostat is wired.

It's obviously on the 12voltDC circuit of the AC unit. Sounds like thermostat, or a relay in control box is faulty or bad connection. If you remove cover on ceiling assy., you should be able to hear it in the control box. There should be a model number on the ceiling assy., get back to me with that number and I can better pinpoint which relay. Also, try moving all thermostat buttons and temperature controls back and forth quickly to see if it may clean off a dirty circuit in thermostat as well. Make sure your AC hydro breaker is off when working with ceiling assy. just to be safe.

Duo Therm AC won't cut off with thermostat

Hi, sounds to me like the thermostat is at fault. You have done nothing wrong to it but cover it up. The t-stat is what controls it, turns it on and off. The only other thing that would keep it on all the time would be that the thermostat wiring could be touching together from the stat up to the unit. You might check that before replacing stat. I have seen this many times. You can start the unit and go up top and disconnect the stat wire and it should stop the unit. Then its either the wire or stat.Let me know what you find,
Sincerely,Shastalaker7
