Frigidaire dishwasher leak

My 2007/8 Frigidaire dishwasher leaks out of front at the bottom in the middle. The bottom door seal intentionally has a gap in the middle and it is through this gap that the dishwasher leaks. It only leaks with soap (doesn't leak on initial rinse cycle and doesn't leak when just rinsing). When I open dishwasher to see inside when leaking is happening, water and suds are about 6 inches above the bottom of bottom tray (which seems like a lot of water and suds)

    I found the model number it is FDB2415LFB0. I also check to be sure that the dishwasher is level and it is, I looked at the float and it seems to move freely, so I assume it is working, but am not really sure what to look for in a broken float. Thanks.

Run it with no soap. if you get no leaks then cut back on your soap. you may need to run washer a few cycles to get rid of excess soap.

SOURCE: Leaking dishwasher

Are you washing cereal bowls or mixing bowls on the bottom rack? If so, are you placing them in front? Sudden leaks that form huge puddles can often be attributed to improper loading of the dishwasher. Most dishwashers don't have a seal across the tub front. The door closes over it and does a pretty good job of deflecting water back inside the wash cavity. However, if you place bowls in the front on the bottom rack rack they can divert the water right over the tub lip and onto the floor. This is usually the culprit that causes most leaks in dishwashers. Now, if you don't think you have a loading problem, remove the kick panel on the bottom of the dishwasher and check the drain line and pump housing for leaks. Check the door gasket for tears or cracks. Lastly, feel inside the bottom of the door with your hand. You should be able to feel the door insulation. If it is wet, then the problem could be a leak around your soap or rinse-aid dispenser. Depending on the model, some dispensers are mounted to the door with a gasket behind it. Sometimes this gasket can form leaks. I hope this helps.

I had the same problem and replaced the door seal. You need to remove the front door to do this. Requires some 'handyman' experience.

SOURCE: Dishwasher leaks during rinse cycle

it sounds like you need to adjust the door latch so that the top of the door will close tighter. when in the rinse cycle try pushing door at top to see if leak stops. if that doesn't let you know something then you got me. you have changed all that i can think of. Good luck

SOURCE: dishwasher leaking around the bottom of the door

I had the same problem in 2004, lots of Bosch trained repair techs, calls to Bosch, and the appliance dealer we purchased it from with no answers. Our kitchen cabinet bases were ruined by the flooding that occured. After months of trying to get help I insisted on speaking to a supervisor that told me it was my fault for putting a flexible cutting board on the right side a blocking the vent. I told her that no where in the manual did it mention this issue and none of their trained techs were aware of this flaw in their design. When I asked about getting my cabinets repaired she said that was not an option. When I mentioned possible legal action her response was "good luck with that". Here it is 2009 and they recently called about a possible fire hazard recall for the control panel. The Bosch trained tech that came out to complete the repair knew nothing about the vent/flooding issue.

Water leaking during cycle

Good Morning Susan Hanley, thank you for your post!

From what you are describing it could be a possible problem with the gaskets for your Frigidaire dishwasher. Where is the leak coming from? If it is coming from the door it could be one of the door seals not sealing properly. Check the seals to make sure that they are not out of place.

If the leak is from the bottom of the dishwasher it could be a loose hose or drain pump issue. You may need to have a technician come out to your home to properly diagnosis and repair your dishwasher. I hope this is helpfully. -Matt

Frigidaire built in dishwasher leaking water out of the bottom.

One of the reasons could be door seal or sump seal leaking. But if the leak only occurs at a particular time in the cycle then most likely the wash motor or drain motor seals.
Need the model number to make a more closer assessment.

Fdb1050rec1 frigidaire dishwasher door leak

I think you most likely have a basin Float water level sensor that is no working correctly, the door seal is not water proof, if the water level gets over the lip of the basin it will leak on the floor.

Frigidaire GLD2445RFS0 dishwasher has developed a door leak

Make sure the lower spray arm ends (there are 3 arms) are snapped together all the way. One of ours had come apart and was spraying water out the end of the one arm. It was enough to "spurt" water past the plastic gasket at the bottom of the door. I snapped the arm back together and BINGO. Free fix.

Door of dishwasher is leaking at bottom left corner.

HI. the door seal has been compromised. it could be simply farad or slightly propped open by some sort of debris as well. check the door seal for faults. replace if faults are found.

Also, make sure the door isn't mis-aligned. this will happen over time during heavy usage. re align the door if necessary.

Water leaking on the floor at the door.

frigidaire models usually leak water at the top of the door and water enters in the door through door latch.2 fix this u can insert a double sided sticking tape behind the tub seal at the top so that door top sits tight against the top part of seal.
also u can remove the front door panel 2 c if water ia jumping out of tub at the bottom at lhs and rhs corners.if thats the case pull out the door seal and insert it back stretching it little bit and leaving some of it extended at both bottom corners so that it can stop the water from splashing out.

Frigidaire Dishwasher leaking but not from door

hi there,
dishwasher leaking might be due to either of these causes, check these:

Main tub seal
Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom
of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you.
But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the
entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from
leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher,
remove the:

* Lower rack
*Spray arm
* Spray arm support
* Wash/drain impellers

Then try the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal
Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly.
You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the
rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten
or repair/replace these as necessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues
to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the
dishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses
Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the
leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.
