Install the proper driver. a generic windows driver may not be suitable. The monitor should have come with a disc.

Plug monitor into another known working computer. If it does not work then the monitor has died a noble death. If it works in other unit then the video card of the Dell needs to be replaced.

Me e machine desk top has been stored away for 6 months, i have set it up & the monitor won't stay on & it's saying no signal?

When the monitor says no signal, it means that it is not detecting a monitor. You need to check the cabling of your monitor and verify that it is properly plugged in. Normally its a blue VGA connection or a white DVI connection that goes to the back of the computer. Also, some monitor requires a seperate power source and you need to check this as well

Emachines monitor model le1987 screen goes blank after monitor is turned on

Need to verify whether its a monitor issue or a computer issue. Get a known working monitor and hook it up to the computer. If you get video then you know for sure the original monitor is bad.

If you still don't get video then you know its going to be either a problem with the video card or the computer.

Can I use an Emachines monitor (product #e15tr,model 568) on another non emachines computer?

That monitor is a standard LCD screen that will work on just about any PC you attach it to. It will work fine on the PC you want to use it on.

Enjoy.

Monitor on emachines computer is black and the on/off light flickers screen will not come on

First make sure the power cord is plugged in both ends (in the wall and in the monitor).
When the computer is turned on, it should run a power on-self test and then beep. The monitor light should be green and then the Windows splash screen will display. If your computer starts up but the video fails, then the monitor light will turn yellow.
A monitor light that just flickers and goes off is probably an indication that the monitor has failed.
I usually try to hook up another monitor (borrow it from a friend) just to be sure that the computer is working.

Monitor doesn't work

Sounds like a bad video adapter. I'm assuming your emachines has an integrated video adapter. Put in a video card (with the power plug pulled out! Touch the bare metal frame of the computer with your hand before inserting the video card into the agp or pci slot Don't touch the motherboard). If you get video, you may or may not need to install drivers after that. XP has a lot of video drivers, but lacks quite a few of them, too.

NEW LG monitor to work on emachines PC with adaptor

First of all, most monitors now a days are plug and play. Make sure the monitor is secure on both sides. There is also another connecter like the one attached to the CPU on the monitor, so make sure they're both securly attached. Also make sure you have the connector plugged in the correct monitor port. some computers have 2.
