Planar px2710mw screen lines

I just unpacked and set up my new monitor only to find a 1.5 inch wide set of colored lines running the height of the screen right between the middle and right side of the screen.

SOURCE: Monitor displays wide vertical stripes/bands

That is the symptom of failed T-CON board (part of the LCD panel assembly, new panel will be needed), you can try reseating the ribbon connector on the LCD panel first.
This what T-CON board looks like:

It will get worst with more lines/bands.

SOURCE: on Planar PL1700 monitor, screen stays black after power failure

this is a common problem with the capacitor, try opening your monitor and see if there is a capacitor swalow like gonna blow... the capacitor has a form like a AA battery... if changing the capacitor the problem persist maybe is a problem with the board and you need to search if the board have continous power....

Planar PX2710MW frequency out-of-range

After a computer reboot, about 8 out of 10 times the monitor would display a blue "frequency out of range" message. It would take several power off/on cycles for the monitor to finally display Microsoft Windows.

I called Planar tech support. They were super-nice. After about 15 minutes in which I shared my screen with them, the tech suggested I go into thePX2710MW's main menu (i.e. "Button 1") and then click "memory recall".

Problem solved! Wow.

There are verticle lines on my tv. They are about 2 in apart and 1 in wide. It starts with 1 thin line and the several colored lines join it until its an inch wide. It started on right side of tv and now...

These colors lines on the LCD screen panel are not causes by an object or human being by force hitting it?If yes, than the tv is not repairable only can be replaced the LCD screen itself. The screen it 90% important to the tv and it limited in productions, will cost the same as a new tv,if screen panel is replacing. If the colors lines came on to the tv LCD screen panel by itself.Than ur tv have a board call the T-CON decoders board is dead. This board is sitting wright in the middle botton on the LCD screen panel require replacing.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-Con decoders board for the replacement.

Verticle blue lines, left side

Your Display cable (inside your monitor) needs to be replaced.

I would look on ebay to try and find the part and then take it to a local tech to replace it for you as I would not recommend anyone take apart a monitor (LCD OR CRT) if you had never done so before.

OR, Buy a new one.
