Question about LG 50PB4D 50 in. Plasma HDTV
The VCR and DVD button on the TV Remote can be programmed for other units. I have a Panasonic SA-PT850W Home Theatre system and the codes in the TV user manual will not function this unit. Does anyone know the code for the Panasonic unit on the LG remote. (LG uses a 3 digit code) The manual suggests 003 or 006 both have failed. thanks, Doug.

SOURCE: LG LCD and LG DVD remote codes
If both units are LG you don't have to program anything. Below the power button are 6 buttons labeled TV, DVD, etc. As soon as you push the DVD button the remote should work it. Remember to push the TV button again to make it work the TV.

Tips for a great answer:

With the DVD/VCR unit on, continue to depress the remote controller's "Code Search" button for about ten seconds, release, & the light on the remote controller should stay on. Continue to tap the remote controller's UP or DOWN channel button ONLY UNTIL the DVD/VCR unit responds. Then, press the power button on the remote controller once the channel has changed. If the DVD/VCR unit shuts off, then press the power button again to turn it back on. If the DVD/VCR unit turns on, then the remote controller has been correctly programmed. Otherwise, repeat this whole process until the remote controller is correctly programmed.
