Set to automatic extinguisher

I have a Kerosun radiant 10 kerosene heater and I have forgotten how to use it. I can't find the manual. It says to "set the automatic extinguisher by pushing the set lever to the left until it locks." WHAT OR WHERE IS THIS LEVER???

Mine is missing too! Pull the front grid up, take the element out, and you will see a plate covering the wick area. Slide this plate to the left until it clicks into place. Now you're set! If your wick is old, you might need to 'prime' it by wetting it with some kerosene.

Radiant kerosene heater won't start

Take it back to the Service Centre and ask the guy to "show you how it works, because you can't get it going". Although Kerosene and Diesel are similar, as fuels go they are different. You can combust anything in a Diesel car, but you can't burn anything in a Kerosene heater.

The dial will not turn but from low to high you can't turn the dial to off position.

On most portable kerosene heaters I have seen there is a lever for extinguishing the heater. Once you press that lever the dial should rotate to the off position automatically.

Kerosene heater will not wick up fuel from tank properly

Have you checked the length of wick. May not be long enough to get down into fuel. RON

I went to a site that has questions and answers about a kerosun heater. from what I gathered, instructions on how to replace the wick are included with the replacement wick.
