It sounds as though your SMPS is seriously faulty and normally one can buy a kit to correct the problem if you are a TV engineer, however there could also be many other reason for the condition that you describe its almost impossible to guess correctly, it really needs a qualified engineer to assess the problem along with he or she having the set with them.
Without knowing anything about your Tv make or model this is hard; but there should be a reset button in your menues to restore all settings to factory default. Find and use that. However I am suspicious and think the set needs reapir.
Hello; The red probably got low over a long period of time due to only one thing. The CRT/ Picture tube is getting weak and cost much more than the set sold for. The adjustments may only help a little and the set will get worse. These adjustments are done on your remote control with service menu accessed. You will need a Service Manual for instructions to do this, but I think it's time for another set. John
yes! those are the screen and focus adjustments. 3 for screen, 3 for focus. try this. go in menu....turn down color, brightness, contrast all they way down. you should then have no picture, but in your case a little red. then go to back of tv and turn those 3 screen adjustments all the way down. slowly turn the screens back up until you get barely a picture. because remember, your brightness and contrast is all the way down. the picture should be dim but seeable and with red, green, blue adjustments, make it a black and white picture. when balanced..... turn up color , brightness, contrast in menu. enjoy!
Check your owners manual look for the section that tells you how to adjust the televisions features using the on screen menu.You probably Have it set on auto adjust. You must turn this feature off, to use the manual controls. If this does not help go to the Sharp website and search the frequently asked questions and troubleshooting sections. Search for your problem and similar one that may have answers. If all this fails you, call technical service and ask them for help with your problem.Hope this helps you with your problem.
This set has no internal manual adjustments for color. The Tracking or B&W balance is accessed via the service menu. I don't suggest you attempt to adjust without instrumentation. the trouble with your set is not an adjustment. Most likely the Optics are at fault. This model has had issues with filters in the optics being destroyed over time by the lamp. The blue haze will get worse and continue to grow over the whole picture. The only option is to remove the Optics (light engine) and sent it out to be rebuilt.
This problem (known as sparkles) can be cured by adjusting the ramp control on the Y-Sustain board. If this does not cure the dots then there is a software remedy for the control board which an LG repair centre could fix. Failing that a replacement board is required. The orbitor & whitewash are like screen savers to help to prevent a screen burn from a permanently displayed image.
Yes there is a Service Code you have to have to get into Alinement menu and its a Dog following step by step to get in! (1) Turn set on cable (2) Turn sleep timer on 30 min (3) Press Action Twice exit menu 4) now tune to ch 124 (5) adjust vol half way down (6) Now Press vol- on front of TV ,now you should see a RED chk appear in upper corner (7) Now Power on remote hand unit and you shiuld be in menu Press cursor to move Mute locks where you want to aline ADJUST with vol-,Vol+ ch- ch+ for up&down back and forth.If you need anymore help let me know .
Remove back see if you can get to tubes top lenses clean all 3 from dirt/dust/ After cleaning off lenses there is a black control box has 3 controls on top 3 on bottom these are to adjust each tube R-G-B Tubes screen/ focus adjust one tube at a time--- Like to adjust red turn g,b.screen drive off turn red up adjust focus to a clear picture ,then green same and blue If you turn screen up to much it will either shut off or you will see Drive lines adjust back down.OK after doing this turn color off in menu adjust all 3 screen controls untill you have Black and white picture try to adjust as close as you can to get bl/wt picture when that is done now turn color on and you should have alot better picture.
