Honeywell technical support

This boiler, from memory, has an electric diverter valve.
If the system has dirty (sludge/scale laden) water then the diverter valve may not return under spring pressure, and therefore not divert all of the hot boiler water to the hot water heat exchanger, leaving some going to the rads.
If I am right then the rads will not get fully hot.
If the valve has failed completely, or electrically, then the rads will get fully hot and there will be no hot water output (hot water will be cold).

Getting hot water only into the tub. Is that a bad mixing valve? Where can I get one for a VERY old Maytag Washer?

The cold water valve could be faulty. It's quite possible that the valves haven't changed. If you don't need hot water put the HOT hose on the COLD tap and wash on 'hot' or 'warm' you'll need to rinse on hot or warm or the machine wont open the 'hot' valve which is now delivering cold water!!!! Enjoy.........Nomess

Only get cold water entering washer ... no warm or hot

1. Close hot water valve behind washer.
2. Remove hot water line from washer side and place it in the drain.
3. Open hot water valve to ensure pressure and hotwater is ok in your drain.
4. If not, problem is home related.
5. If pressure and hotwater are ok, then see if your fill valve filter is clogged where you disconnected the hotwater hose attached to the machine.. Its called a fill valve. Sometimes they get clogged.
6. If the hot water side of fill valve looks ok with no blockage, then you might be looking at a new fill valve.

Maytag Performa wont fill hot water

The water fill valve - The water fill valve is a mechanical and electrical part, the coils on the valve need electricity to mechanically open the valve to allow the water to flow into the washer....myth....the washer pumps water into itself...no, it does not. The fill valve opens and the house water pressure pushes the water into the washing machine.
No cold water or no hot water - The fill valve has two coils, one for the hot water and one for the cold water. It is possible that one of the coils can fail and you loose that filling ability. If the cold water coil quits, the hot will still work and during warm fill you will get hot water only and during a cold fill you will get no water at all. If the hot coils quits, you will still have cold water fill, cold water only on a warm setting and no water on a hot fill setting. You can test a fill valve live for 120 volts, power to a fill valve coil and no fill = a bad fill valve. You can also test the coils for continuity, no continuity = a bad fill valve. Some Maytag washers have a fuse in the fill valve circuit, if this fuse let go the washer will not fill. Fill valves can also from time to time stick open and not stop filling. If you have to shut off the fill valves to stop the water from filling in the washer, you have a bad fill valve and you will have to replace it.

Washing Machine Rinse and Spin lights are on

its the problem of drum getting blocked by any clothes getting tucked up.also try to move the drum manually with the machine off.if it makes any noise its the faulty motor.or drum has lost its alignment.it needs to be reseated properly in that case. -------------- The water fill valve - The water fill valve is a mechanical and electrical part, the coils on the valve need electricity to mechanically open the valve to allow the water to flow into the washer....myth....the washer pumps water into itself...no, it does not. HOT WATER NOT COMING INTO MACHINE

lets see hear.what the water fill hoses are connected to is call the water fill valve.when you select a water temp.,electricty will then go to ither water valve coil or both for warm.so if your not getting hot it could be first that the fill screens at the hose at the water valve is blocked .but most of the time thats not true of hot because minerals drop out in the water heater before getting to the water valve, unlike the cold water.so if screen is clean, next would be voltage to the water valve.if its getting voltage but not working then its the water valve.if its not getting voltage then use the wiring diagram to see what componet is before the water valve.may be water selector switch or timer
