If you have multiple contacts on your iPad and still get no luck in deleting them directly, maybe a third-party iPad transfer program can be helpful. You're able to find various kinds of data transfer programs for iOS devices on the Internet, and I would like to introduce iTransfer to all users of iPhone, iPad and iPod. This software is used for transferring files among iOS devices, iTunes and PCs, and it enables users to manage apps, music, movies, TV shows, ringtones, ebooks, photos, Camera Roll, text messages and contacts with ease. The following guidance will show you how to delete multiple contacts on iPad.

  1. Run iTransfer, and connect iPhone to computer with the USB cable. The software will automatically detect the libraries of your iPhone, and display the libraries in the left sidebar.
  2. Choose "Contacts" library and then the contents will be shown in the right part of the window. Check the contacts you want to delete, and click the "X" at the top of the window.
  3. After clicking the button, you will see a pop-up dialog. iTransfer will make a confirmation of deleting the selected contacts. Click "Yes" to start to delete contacts on iPhone.
  4. iTransfer will start deleting contacts on iPhone in batch immediately. The "Deleting" word will be shown in the middle of the window, and the software will finish the deletion in very short time.

SOURCE: Can you synchronise Outlook 2010 contacts with an

If you sync with an Exchange server of some kind, your outlook contacts should be synced to that server. If that is the case, add the Exchange server to your iPad under Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>Add Account. Then, make sure the slider switch beside Contacts is set to 'On'. If you are not connected to an Exchange server, you can always try syncing to another service like Google Contacts and use that service's sync functions to bring the contacts on to your iPad.
Hope this helps, Alistair

The following works on devices with iOS7
1. go to the homescreen by pressing the home button
2. launch the "Settings" app
3. search on the left side for "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" and tap on
4. on the right side you will see "Accounts"
5. tap on the account name you would like to remove
6. the account details will appear (ie. your email address)
7. on the bottom you will have a "Delete Account" button.
8. By taping the button you can delete the account.

Be ware an account can be associated with multiple apps not only email. By deleting the account you will not receive associated calendars, notes, or contacts.

If you would like to remove only the emails associated with one account you should switch off the email option for that account on the same screen that appears at step 6.
