Yes, I have Pearl and the other day I was making a quick call. When I got done with the call. My screen on the blackberry went blank to a white screen. I let sit for a moment to see if it goes back to the windows screen. NO.
I take the battery cover out then the battery to see if it would reset my problem. As soon as I put the battery back in it went back to the white screen background. Then, I try to push the power startup button (red button - use for many functions) aka the startup power mode. No it didn't work. Still blank screen.
I use my home phone to call my cell phone. It went to voicemail. Sensing the phone is in off mode. I did get a red flash on my cell phone that indicates that I have voice message. I hold down and press #1. It actually work and my phone talk to me. Good. I couldn't dial numbers since I couldn't see the screen. No sounds could be detected while trying any other functions. Just voicemail.
So my major problem is: How to get the blank white screen back to normal window screen mode?
Thanks.
I can turn on my Wi-fi but when it is time to setup(search for wi-fi networks) the trackball moves but the screen sticks, then turns white. I have to press the end button(red button) to get back to home screen. How could I fix this problem?

I've have the same problem! I have a white screen with the hour glass like it's trying to boot-up.Then the red light comes on and it shuts down for a couple of seconds and starts up and the whole process repeats itself. Let me know what I can do to get it back up running for good!
Thanks,
Cheryl
