Hi I have an hot point aqualtis dryer I have just changed the thermostats and tod block now it flashes f08 codes ?? I also noticed the heater coils a couple had snapped could this be the problem??

Using a volt/ohm meter check the thermal fuse on the top left side of the heater canister for continuity. If no continuity replace the thermal fuse and the hi limit thermostat on the bottom of the heater canister.
These parts come as a set.
If I had a model number i could be more specific.

This is not always the case.
Check all connections to and from the heater, the module , the thermistor, the pressure switch.
If you can, test the heater for continuity with a test meter.
Remove the connections to the heater to do this.

ENSURE THE POWER IS OFF BEFOR DOING ANY TESTING.

You need to check all the connections to the pressure switch the heater and the module as generally speaking it is due to a bad connection, you shoul not need to disconnect anything.

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
