Reinstall the operation system or check the hard disk to be in place ..cause it seam it opens up ok for the initial stage ..
try to see if your hard disk has a recovery partition ..and use it to go back to the factory settings ..To do that press f12 on start and on the boot screen choose the recovery partition if it has one ..If not..use a installation disk and make a clean install (format the C drive when you install .

SOURCE: dell inspiron 1525 laptop not detecting battery

Looks to me like the battery is bad, try another battery if you can and see if the laptop charges it. If it does then the battery is bad, if it doesn't then its something with the motherboard.

Try pressing F12 as you power up, and enter the Dell Diagnostics. That can run tests on all your hardware to see what the problem is. If I had to guess from your description, I'd check the hard drive. If your laptop is still under warranty, Dell will replace the hard drive for you.
Hope this helps! If so, please give a rating!

SOURCE: My Dell Inspiron Mini won't power up. When I

Hi,

Im very sorry to hear that, please follow these simple steps for you to be able to isolate the exact problem.

1. Removed the battery.
2. Connect the laptop directly to the power outlet without using the battery just for the meantime.
3. Turn on the laptop. If the laptop is able to power on, that means that the AC adapter is working fine as well as the DC port. If the laptop is not able to turn on, it maybe the AC adapter itself or the DC port.
4. Try to use another AC adapter if possible, make sure that that AC adapter is working fine. If the laptop is still not turning on, the problem is with the DC port itself. In that case, you will need to replaced the Motherboard itself.

Hope this will help...Thank you for using Fixya...

Hi.

Pop the install DVD into the drive and restart your laptop. When you see the Dell logo hit the F2 key to get you into the BIOS. Look for boot options in the list and set the DVD/CD drive as the first boot device. Save the changes and exit the BIOS.

The laptop should restart and boot form the DVD/CD drive so you can install the operating system.

Good luck and regards.

Is it possible to replace pre installed web cam on my laptop?

It might be possible to replace the camera in case of some laptop companies which provides good service during their warranty period such as DELL, HP, VAIO, Apple.
If your camera isn't working properly in your warranty period then it could be replaced but not changed with other model.
If your warranty period has expired then it will cost you more; instead you can buy a decent USB webcam which could be easily attached to head of the display!!!

Hi,

The problem with your laptop isn't related with power supply. Even if your battery isn't working, it would have started with the help of the Charger/External supply.

The actual problem seems to be related with the Planner/Motherboard. When it stops working, it causes major problem. You should consult the manufacturer of your computer and if it is in its warranty period, they'll repair/replace it for free.

Officejet Pro L7590 printhead message (printheads only 2m. old)!

Pull out the printhead from the computer and check the date under "warranty ends" If the warranty period did not lapse, call HP technical support and tell them about the problem. They will replace the printhead for free. I have gone through 3 black/yellow printheads and I received the replacement printheads via FedEx within 1-2 days. They will send you a pre-paid envelope to return via U.S. Postal Service via US Postal Service.

If the Warranty date on the printhead expired, then you may have to come out of pocket to replace the printhead since HP will argue that they are not obligated to replace the printhead since the manufacturer warranty lapsed.

If this is the case, check to see when you purchased the printer. If the purchase was within a year, the retailer (i.e. Best Buy) is on the hook since there is a 1 year implied warranty on products such as printers, regardless of whether the expiration date on the HP printhead expired.

Hope this helps

Warranty expire

Hi,

If your computer's warranty is expired, you can go ahead and purchase extended warranty for your computer by contacting HP Support.

Let me inform you that ongoing issues will not cover under this warranty.

The extended warranty will be updated within a month time.

Thanks and Regards,
Sharath
