Canon MP600 paper wont feed- error message- HELP!

Hi,
My Canon MP600 Printer won't feed paper through and I don't know why! There is paper in the feed tray and it makes a whirring noise but the paper won't go through. An error message comes up instead: Cassette, There is no paper. Load paper and press ok. I have tried this numerous times and turning it off and on. Can someone please let me know how to fix this problem!

Gday folks
put some paper in the rear of m/c (not cassette) and press OK

Canon MP600 all-in-one printer.Out of paper?

Try this:
Go into the driver toolbox under printing preferences and select auto
continuous feed from the paper source dropdown box.

Both trays should be of the same size paper and type for this to work.

My Canon MP600 damages the paper and it will not feed.

unplug it all, turn it upside down and shake the hell out of it, there is a slim chance of ink spillage especially if its a well used printer but from experiance its usually a bug or small peice of somthing in it like a peice of lego, or bead or cockroach or pen lid or barbies shoes

pretty precise examples hey........

Mp600 pixma printer

I'm not sure if you've already checked this, but this was my issue. I, too, would try to print something and it would make a great deal of clunking noise but would then say that there was no paper and told me to load some. I went to the Canon site and before I actually went through the process of cleaning the print roller, I checked the feed switch button on the display panel. It's right below the ON/OFF button and, what do you know, it was set to feed from a paper cassette instead of the back loading tray. I pushed the button and it's now printing fine. I'm sure we must have accidentally hit the button when we were trying to turn the printer on or off quickly. Hope this does the trick! It's always nice when it's something easily fixed!

Printer won't pull paper into printer

Check the "Feed Switch" button on the control panel (below the ON/OFF button) to be sure the green light at the back of the picture is lit. If not, try pushing the button and then printing again. It worked for me and it was so simple!
