If you have your receipt, check with Ryobi to see if it is still under warranty. It comes with either a 2 or 3 year warranty, depending on when it was purchased. If it is still covered, get it replaced/repaired. If it is not, buy the P117 charger. $30 at Home Depot. It has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. If it charges your batteries properly, you're good. If not, bring it back if you don't like/want it. My P113 won't get out of test mode now, or charge Lithium batteries anymore. So I bought the P117 yesterday. Works great, and it's a lot cheaper than new batteries! And it has a 3 year warranty.
WHY SHOULD WE BUY ANOTHER CHARGER IF THIS LOOKS LIKE A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM..I THINK RYOBY SHOULD REPLACE THIS DEFECTIVE P113 FOR A P117 FOR FREE I BOUGHT MINE VIA EBAY, AND IT'S DIFFICULT TO REFUND AND SHIP THE CHARGER BACK TO THE PERSON WHO SOLD ME THIS CHARGER VIA EBAY....PLEASE RYOBY COMPANY HELP US OUT WITH THIS ISSUE...I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO CONNECT WUTH THE RYOBY COMPANY AFTER SALES SUPPORT DEPARTMENT TO GET THIS ISSUE SOLEVED...
After making contact with "BAD After Sales-Service" Ryobi is providing on WARRANTY issues,Idecided to use my Elctronic skills and got the problem..R5 (4.3Mohm 1/4 WATT))was open. so I replaced both R5and R6 4.3Mohm 1/4 WATT for the same value but using 1 WATT resitors instead of 1/4 WATT resisitors...that's all folks!....One thing i can assure you my community -friends.....I'll NEVER buy a Ryobi product!..their Warranty-service department is the WORST ONE I had dealed with..NO MORE RYOBY PRODUCTS IN MY LIFE....Best regards my friends.
