I just changed mine yesterday and these tips listed above were unfortunately incorrect.

Step 1 - Open the passenger door
There is a panel that has no screws on the flatside of the dashboard which faces against the closed door at the jam side. Use a body tool and pry the panel carefully exposing the inside area of the glovebox. If possible dont do this in cold weather because the tabs are plastic. Inside the panel you will see one small tab that the glove box has a 1/4 plastic clip seated in the tab.

Step 2 - Open the glove box. Remove the 3 hex screws on the top interior row of the glove box.

Step 3 - At the right and left corners of the bottom of the glove box remove the two front facing screws on the lower hinge.

Step 4- At the very bottom parallel to the floor there are two more hex screws remove those (they hold the plastic vent in place underneath the glove box. Pull the vent downward to release the tabs.
IMPORTANT: Dont forget to go back to step 1 and pull the small tab from the slot in the dashboard cover area ( Inside the panel you will see one small tab that the glove box has a 1/4 plastic clip seated in the tab)

Step 5 - Pull down on the glove box to release the clips.

Step 6 - You will see a black box inside. There are three tabs (right, top, and left) pull them individually to remove the front facing cover. Inside you will see the air filter. Remove and have airflow arrow pointed downward.

Reverse steps to reinstall. Be sure to line up the clips before pressing them back in place. Do not force them!

Good luck. I hope this helps. I did mine on the first attempt with no issues in about 10 minutes (I'm not a mechanic).

SOURCE: 2008 honda pilot cabin air filter

This solution pertains to a 2008 Honda Pilot...To replace the cabin air filter which is located on the passenger side of the vehicle behind the glove box: Open glove box and remove stored items...while sitting in the passenger seat, pull towards you on each of the two clips on the left and right side of the glove box...this will cause them to become loose and the glove box will tip out completely exposing the inside of the dashboard. (Alternately...carefully pull towards you on the top center of the glove box which will cause the left and right side stops to pull away from the edges and allow the glove box to tip out) Here it gets tricky...the box holding the cartridge for the cabin air filter is the large black box on the left side behind the glove box The filter fits in a removable tray vertically inside that box. A pressure clip at the top of the box allows the vertical cover to be removed exposing the tray with the Cabin air filter... BUT!!! There is a plastic bar an inch or so high which has been placed there by the manufacturer to prevent most from changing the filter without the service department being involved. This bar must be cut with a sharp sheetrock knife or hacksaw and discarded, (it will not be reinstalled). Then there is a flat metal bar behind the plastic bar that can be removed using an 8mm socket and a phillips screwdriver. There are 2 8mm screws and one phillips head screw on each side that must be removed in order to remove the metal bar. THEN you can remove the cover to the cabin air filter box, pull out the tray with the filter (note how the filter is in the box so the new one can be placed the same way) reinsert the tray with the new filter and replace the tray cover. All other steps to finish the job are obvious as everything is the reverse. Actually the whole process is a lot of trouble and unless you are determined to change the filter I would recommend not doing it.

SOURCE: trying to change the cabin air filter

1. Open glove box
2. Unhook elastic retainer on right side
3. Locate the two "stop tabs", one on the upper left and the other on the right side. Push both to the left to clear their stops and the glove box will swing down, allowing access to the filter cover.

I have a 2005 buick lacrosse this has been happening for well over a year water sounds swish under the hood....could something be blocked causing water not able to escape ????

The cabin air filter for your Lacrosse is located in a housing under the hood. Inside that housing is a drain in case water gets past the windshield. If that drain is clogged it will cause water to be trapped. Take a look at this video to see how to access your cabin air filter. Once you get in there, remove the cabin air filter and look at the entire housing to see if water is trapped inside then clear the drain hole. I hope this helps you.

How do I change in cabin air filter in a 2011 Nissan rouge

If you mean rogue, there should be a cover for your in cabin filter right by the gas pedal to the right towards the fire wall. It should be fairly skinny in size and just unclog the cover and pull out existing filter. To replace, just reverse the step. Quick tip is to pinch filter in the middle like a bow tie to help fit back in easier. Hope this helps you out and GL

WHERE IS THE INSIDE CABIN AIR FILTER ON 2008 FORD EDGE LIMITED

The cabin air filter is located behind the glove box. Open it then empty all contents. Grab both sides inside the box and push them inward. The glove box will then drop out further. On the left side is a catch cable. Slide that down and pull it out. The box should then just pull out. The cover for the filter is rectangular and gray or black color. On the left side push the tab toward the passenger door and pull toward you. You will either find nothing or a screen. Discard the screen and insert the new filter.

Heater/defrost does not change position. windows fog, fan motor running as should just will not let air into cabin.

get the cabin air filter of ur endeavor changed by following method.
Procedure to Remove the Old Cabin Filter First off, you need to open the glove compartment; you'll see two screws on top of the glove compartment and two at the bottom of it.

Remove each one of them one by one with the help of a Phillips screwdriver, and then unhook the stop bar which you can find on the right side of the glove compartment .

Next, pull the glove compartment out - while pulling the glove compartment out we disconnect the light wire .

Now, you should be able to see two tabs on both sides of the cabin filter which we press towards the middle of the compartment and then we remove the cabin filter cover . After this, slide the filter out of the housing .

Putting the New Filter In Place Now, you can easily insert the new filter in the filter housing making sure the "up" arrow printed on the filter points towards the roof of the Endeavor and then we replace the cabin filter cover.

Next, insert the glove compartment back into the dash and while it is half way through you need to reconnect the light wire.

Finally, reconnect the stop bar over the hook and finally replace the four screws to hold the glove compartment firmly in place. And, that's it - you've just learned how to change cabin filter in Mitsubishi Endeavor.

Where and how to change cabin filter chevy equinox

Hiya...the cabin air filter is located below the front passenger/windshield area.
It's only accessible by standing outside the Equinox with the hood open.
Here's how to do it...(before you pop open the hood)

1) Stand outside at the front-right door area.
2) Just below the front windshield area, pull up a few small black plastic clips that's on the black windshield wiper cowl area- a small flat screwdriver or a special clip-remover tool is handy.
3) Raise the hood up.
4) There may be a triangular-shaped hard foam sound damper at the left side nearby the hood hinge...pull it off if it allow you to work around it with ease.
5) Continue to find a few black plastic clips around the black windshield wiper cowl area.
6) Gently pull up the black windshield wiper cowl cover with care not to bend it too hard during removal.
7) You should see the cabin air filter inside that's held in place by a black rectangular box inside.
8) There's 2 black tabs that holds the cabin air filter in place.
9) Insert your finger or tool to pry the cabin air filter away from the tabs.
10) Remove old cabin air filter.

Remember to reinstall the clip parts back into place when you're finished.

How to change air filters on 2007 Mercedes C230 Sport

I have '05, both should be similar:
1.Cabin air filter is located above battery on right side against firewall.
Release three latches, remove filter housing, slide old filter out (housing is flexible), insert new
one, reinstall housing.
2.Engine air filter is on the left side of the block (follow intake hose). Cover is retained with six screws
(six point star shape,I belive called Torox, bit/scredriver size 25). Loosen screws (don' t pull all the
way out of the cover) lift cover , and remove old filter. Insert new one, reinstall cover. DO NOT
OVERTORQUE SCREWS! Screw holes in plastic filter housing strip very easily.
Note: Intake hose is very flimsy, one on my car came apart and had to be replaced.
