Hi Gilbert,

Krups still sell some parts for this model.
If you still looking for the boiler cap I think you can find it here:

I believe is need a new gasket for where the filter cup meets the espresso maker. I am not getting the same pressure when making coffee. It is a Krups 871 model

Hi,
I have a #872 model. It is very similar to the #871.
Where the gasket is there is a small metal filter too, attached by a screw.
UNPLUG your coffemaker!!!
If you unscrew the filter and remove it with the gasket most likely you are going to find the other side of it clogged by coffee. Wash it off and wash the gasket well too with dishwashing soap. Rinse them off well.
You should try to clean off the coffemaker part to where the gasket lays. Usually it is full of burnt of coffee.
If there is no other problem with your coffemaker this should solve your problem.

2 problems: not enough hot water, and where the rubberized tube goes

It's my opinion that the tube goes in the boiler so that when the water boils, the steam will push the water up the tube and to the brew head. Without the tube, you will just get steam through the grounds.

Good luck!
