Sounds like with the mileage, you should not fool around until the Warranty is expired. Best I can say is there is a site which really gives you info about Consumer complaints,NHTSA investigations, and extra Warranty covereage. You can also list your problem and maybe start an Investigation by the NHTSA into why this is happening.

I believe the problem is related to microsoft .NET Framework. I have researched and there are many posts of incompatibility between .NET Framework and many printers not just 1600. My 1600 stopped working and I traced the problem to upgrade to .NET Framework 3.5 I uninstalled 1600, then uninstalled .NET Framework 3.5 (and 3.0 as well for good measure), reinstalled 1600 and it is working fine now again. You can uninstall .NET versions using Add/Remove programs on the Control Panel. To avoid re-updating, I also turned off Windows automatic updates. I left .NET Framework 2.0. No problems with other programs but the computer did have trouble rebooting the very first time after I uninstalled .NET Framework 3.5 and 3.0. Unknown if that was related to the uninstall or a completely unrelated problem. Anyway if you want to try something less drastic than removing .NET versions, check out this Microsoft link:

refers to a printer fix related to .NET. In my experience, the Microsoft fixes never work but you are welcome to try before uninstalling .NET Framework versions.

Since i'm going to assume you tried turning it on right after it got wet then there's nothing anyone can do. there's a short somewhere in it, and you'd have to spend more money getting it repaired than what it's worth. If you got the extended covereage from BB or CC then now's the time to use it.

For the future- any time an electronic device gets wet, let it dry THOROUGHLY before you turn it on. I mean for like days. I learned the same lesson when my Chocolate got wet.

Mine stops like described above... but after I go to garage and dirnk 1/2 beer while watching NASCAR, then go back and mower works great.... but only for a few minutes on hot days.  Results in lots of beer consumed, but great NASCAR covereage.  On cooler days, it stops less often, but still stops.  Results in less beer consumed, but I haven't a clue who won the Busch series today.
I thnk it's a temperature thing... but not sure about that.  Sometimes works great, even on hot days; but not worth a crap on cold days.  Go figure.
OTHERWISE, I love my cordless electric mower.... I just with I could mow the whole damn lawn without interuption.
