I don't have my user manual. How do you clean a gas oven, Jenn-Air? There are two "clean:" knobs but when I turn them both on and latch the door nothing happens? Is there a timer or something? thanks

The timer may think it is still in clean. The easiest way to try and fix this is to set another clean cycle and let it run all the way. Set it for the least amount of time that it will let you for example try a 15 minute clean cycle. Once it goes through it and turns off automatically it may release the lock, if not you will most likely need someone from service out.
in the users manual there will be a calibrating page. also self clean is hard on the oven a sensor that is meant to read 400 degrees has a hard time being accurate after 900 degrees
After the lock indicator light goes out, move the
door lock lever to the left. The oven door can now be opened. Turn the
selector and temperature knobs from clean to off AFTER THE DOOR IS
UNLOCKED. If the temperature knob is turned to off BEFORE the door is
unlocked, the door will not open. Forcing the lock will damage the lock
mechanism. If this should happen, return the temperature knob back to
CLEAN, unlock the door, THEN turn the temperature knob off.

Had this EXACT same problem the day before a party where I needed the oven for lots of baking.... Tried all sorts of things, was about to call a repair man- I FINALLY got it to open by following the first two directions for putting it into self clean mode (turned both knobs to CLEAN), then when it said to lock door I tried to move the lock lever and bam it worked! Give it a shot! Good luck! (:
once cleaning is completed and completely cooled down. Turn both knobs off. turn both knobs back to clean and hit cancell button twice. should un-lock then
You've probably already read pages 34 through 37 of the owners manual for this oven. We had this stove in the house we bought and the owner wrote in his own directions, which seem to work fine:
1. Turn knob selector to clean.
2. Turn temp knob to clean.
3. Close and lock door.
4. Push enter button and turn dial clockwise to desired time.
5. Push enter button again.
You've probably already tried this, but just in case I figured I'd pass it along.
