How do I plug back in the GE stove top burners after unplugging them?

I unplugged the electric coil unit on the stove top and now can't plug it back in.

It is so dark, that even with a flashlight, I can't find the lead under the stove top. I know it's right there and sometime I can try to hold it while trying to plug the unit in. Still have a problem. When should I cut off the electricity to try to go further and pull on the socket a little to try to get them together?thanks

You're right that the socket may have shifted backwards or twisted sideways. You could lift up the entire stovetop and look underneath.

I don't know how to lift up the stove top. I'll try, but may need someone there to help. Thanks Steve.

The two leads from the burner fit into a socket in the stove top. It's a bit tricky to get it in just right. If the three metal "legs" on the burner fit snugly into the three slots on the stovetop you did it right.

Stephen, I know 'what' to do. The leads and the sockets just won't hook together. Thx.

Electric starter won't stop clicking - how to unplug starter?

Your electric spark switches got wet. You may be able to remove the knobs and use a hair dryer through the switch/valve opening to dry them out.

GE Monogram ZGU48N6D- None of the Ignitors "click"

We just had that problem - the igniter is electric - if none of the burners are "clicking" it could be a power problem. unplug the stove and check whether the outlet is working. In our case, the outlet the stove is plugged into has a "GFI outlet with a reset button. So we reset the outlet and that fixed the problem.

My electric stove top burner only works on high

This is for the glass top units. well i'm not sure if your problem is with your large or small single burner or the large expandable burner. If it's the large or small single burner replace the burner and if it the expandable also replace the burner. If you have a coil burner replace the infinite switch. Good luck hope this helps you.
