Duct tape flexible tube or short piece of plastic pipe onto the shop vac hose and put down into the drain.
Example image shows similar duct tape connection:

SOURCE: DU943PWK won't drain

If you take the bottom panel off the DW, there is a white plastic tube that is sticking out, but attached to the motor. Turn the tube counter clockwise ( Please be sure to have wet vac ready as this tube will let water out, even if you think you have all water out, still have wet vac and towels ready) Pieces of things get stuck in that tube and make it hard to drain.. replace tube to motor after cleaning and test unit

SOURCE: Hi My dishwaster won't drain

Hi, well usually when a DW will not drain, it has something to do with, the Pump, the outlet hose, or the internal pipes being blocked, or all of them..
What you need to do, is check for anything blocking the outlet or pump etc. To do this one must obtain a service manual, for the exact make and model. In these manuals are step by step instructions on how to troubleshoot and remedy common problems.
To assist you I give you a site below to visit, it shows you step by step what to do.

My samsung dishwasher wont drain.

The draining is done by a small plastic impeller in the bottom of the dishwasher. Look for a screen in the bottom that is screwed down. Removing the screen should give you access to the impeller. In my case, a small piece of broken glass slipped past the screen and jambed the plastic impeller.

Switch turned on map light but will not turn light back off. Need to know how to take button out to repair

Problem might be that one end of the spring sits on a small black piece of plastic which has popped out of position. I have NOT tried to actually fix the problem, yet, but just removed the bulb so that the battery doesn't drain.
3 screws need to be removed to see the black piece:
  1. With a very-thin, flat screwdriver CAREFULLY pry the lens-cover off; I don't suggest trying this if you can't do it gently since you might crack the cover. If you then look upward in the center of the uncovered area, you will see the screw that needs to be removed.
  2. Drop down the "sun-glasses compartment" and you will see the remaining 2 screws that need to be removed.
Finally, carefully disconnect at least 1 of the electrical harnesses.

You should see the small, black plastic piece in its correct position on the properly functioning light switch.

Good Luck!

Water drains back into dishwasher from sink or disposal

You've got a broken piece of glass or something holding the drain valve open.
Solenoid operates the valve to drain water from dishwasher into drain line.
When power shuts off to solenoid...valve closes.
If valve is blocked by a piece of glass or toothpick or a sliver of bone...it can't close and draining water from disposal or sink can back flow into dishwasher.

I had a piece of glass caught in mine.

Hope this helps...

03 Subaru Forester. sunroof opens (retracts) about an inch and then jams. Sort of 'cocks' to the passenger side. I have taken the glass out and with help once it gets past that one spot it goes all...

OK dude, I have been doing hours of research for the same problem with mine. Here is the deal - you can do this WITHOUT having to remove the entire headliner. 1. open sunshade 2. remove plastic covers form the 4 lift hinges for the glass. 3. unscrew bolts for hinges - take careful note of the amount and position of all spacers for each of the 4 hinges (they may have different amounts - reinstall exactly as found). 4. carefully remove glass 5. move bracket back (via switch or hex-wrench_ about 4 in - you will see the "lift wedge" to the side of each bracket - they are each screwed into the rail with 2 small screws. 6. unscrew both lift wedges 7. slide mechanism (switch or hex-wrench back and forth until you see the little plastic part go by in the hole that you have just uncovered - voila!. you will likely see/find bits of broken plastic from the pieces that you are replacing. 8. while you are there thoroughly clean out the gutters and insure drainage holes are clear avoid grease, since that adds to the muck in there. 9. remove the old and drop in the new replacement pieces using needlenose pliers - note the pieces are asymetrical and have a particular left and right side- install correctly, narrow part towards the rear. 10. test to make sure it is sliding correctly. 11. close fully, then reinstall glass, putting spacers back properly, re screwing (don't over tighten as you will break the glass - doh!) and replace hinge covers.
Drink a beer - you just saved yourself hundreds in labor costs.

How do I get the cover off to change the light bulb?

Depending on the fan you have a couple possibilities. If the Glass has a knob, or metal piece in the center on the bottom then unscrew this to remove. If not, then Look at the top of the glass, where it meets the fan. If there are three, or four small screw you loosen these and the the glass will come off. If you see none, or just one, then the glass should either unscrew, or twist and unlock.

How do you drain the drain pump in lg front load washer washer spilling the water that is inside

There is a small panel on the bottom left front of the washer with a tab on the top middle holding it onto the front of the washer. depress this tab with a small flathead screwdriver and the panel will open downward. You will now see a small round black piece on the left with a flat screw head on it, about an inch in diameter. unscrew this about a quarter of a turn and it will come out with a small hose attached. This is connected to the drain pump. Have a shop vac ready, pull the black plug out of the hose and this will drain the pump. The larger round piece on the right, about 3 inches in diameter is your drain pump. After draining all the water unscrew it with your hand. When you get this out it will have a screen attached which needs to be cleaned at least once a year.

I have LG dishwasher for 2 years now. Working perfectly until one day one glass gets broken during washing cycle. Immideatly we get EO error. We check possible reason of error in the manual then decided to...

In order to fix problem we disconnected dishwasher, put it on one of side, opened bottom cover - the one that is outside of dishwasher. We find out the part that is
connected to the drain horse. We take of 3 screw and open that part too. We discover
few small peices of glass that were preventing to rotate one plastic part of dishwasher. We removed that pieces of glass. Put all back and connected dishwasher. All was working fine. I am suggesting to everybidy try these steps before calling for any service.
