I have flipped my photos after loading them, created another file on the computer with only vertical/portrait shots....whatever I do, the photos either show horizontal or show in mini size horizontal. Does the dp-758 not allow photos to be rotated and the slide show be in portrait format? I am ready to throw this in the trash.

Coby only shows full size "landscape" and cuts down "portrait" to show as landscape. Is there a way to change the orientation display?

SOURCE: Hi, we are a 501c3

Unfortunately I do not have any good news for you ...If the image do not appears anymore..it means that it either has a power issue..or the lcd screen is gone bad...and need to be replaced..and in this case I don't think is worth the trouble ...cause it may cost more to buy the screen and replace than buying a new one ...The only thing that you can try is to see if the problem is not from the ac adapter charger...Being the only power source on this frame ...if the charger is burned..it can cause the frame not to work anymore...so ...try to locate a charger with the same kinda plug ..and on the same specifications regarding the voltage ...and try to see if plugging a new one makes it work again ...If it does...you are lucky ...but in any other case it is not worth repairing unless it has a sentimental value and you want to do it regardless of costs..
In short ...being used for a long period of time ..there is possible that the ac adapter to be burned ..and replacing it ..can be a chance for making it working again ...but pay attention to be the same voltage as on the original one...otherwise..the repairing can not be done due to high costs and lack of replacement parts..
Good Luck ...!

The screen on my acer laptop has turned upside down.. How can i turn the screen around?

I know how inconvenient working on your laptop the image in it is upside down. But don't worry I will help you with this concern.

I have a video tutorial that will walk you through on how to correct it or fix it.

Just click the link VideoTutorial so that you will directed on the video tutorial page. Once you get there, please wait to load the video completely, it takes quite while.
But if you want a written walk through, not a problem I will provide that.

Laptops are very customizable. There is a very handy technique that has been a feature on laptops for many years but is still not widely known. It comes in handy for a lot of reasons. For anyone who wants to relax and watch a movie on their laptop or read an ebook, the ability to rotate their laptop's screen from vertical to horizontal makes these activities so much easier. This explanation applies to Windows Vista and Windows 7.

1. Hold down the "Ctrl" and "Alt" keys and press the "Left Arrow" key. This will rotate your laptop screen view. Return to the standard screen orientation by holding down the "Ctrl" and "Alt" keys together and pressing the "Up Arrow" key. If you were unable to rotate your screen with "Ctrl + Alt + Left," go to step 2.

2. Right-click on the laptop's desktop and select "Personalize."

3. Find the "See Also" menu on the left side of the screen and click "Display."

4. Click on "Change Display Settings" and choose "Orientation" from the drop-down menu.

5. Choose from "Landscape," "Portrait," "Landscape (Flipped)," and "Portrait (Flipped)" from the box that appears. "Landscape" is the standard view. "Portrait" changes the view to sideways, leaning to the left. "Landscape (Flipped)" shows a sideways view leaning to the right. "Portrait (Flipped)" turns the screen upside down.

6.Click "Apply" and then click "OK." Your screen orientation is set to whatever version you like.

Proceed to play jokes on your friends by flipping their computer screens when they are not looking, then tell them "That's not good, dude."

I hope you find it very helpful. Thank you for using fixya.

Uploaded photos once to my computer, need to reload photo because photo was removed from computer. computer say no new photos to be loaded, how can I override this

Get a separate card reader...they don't cost much and greatly simplify the downloading process (you'll thank me later). Create a folder on your desktop. Plug your card into the card reader and the usb plug into your computer. When the files appear, find the one you want and drag and drop it into the folder you created. Once there, you can rename it if you want or send it to another program or whatever. typrice_228.jpg

Some of my vertical (portrait) photos on my 15" are displaying as horizontal (Landscape). What can I do to fix this?

Have you saved the images that are appearing as Landscape in Portrait?

The frame should display the images as you saved them. Rotate the image in your photo editing program until they appear as Portrait, then save them. This should fix your problem.

When I download images the date created is the date downloaded rather than the date taken.

The date created is just the date that the file was copied to your computer. If you look at the photo properties (stored in the "exif data" on the image file), you will see the shot date. You can also see this if you right click on the file icon and look at properties. It is usually displayed under the details tab in the section titled "Origin". The file data is stored by the computer and filesystem, but the shot date is actually a part of the file itself.

File Error now shows in camera for rotated photos from PC.

The camera will not display photos that have been edited by something else. Rotating counts as editing. Just opening a photo and then saving it without doing anything else counts as editing.

I need to flip my text to print on a transfer for a t-shirt

You want to flip the text? Do you mean you want the text to display 90 degrees from normal portrait mode into landscape?

If so, when you select a document to print a window should pop up with options to select number of copies, etc. Take note of a pull down menu with portrait, and landscape options.

Use landscape to print your job with the text in this mode.

If you want this set as the default option you can set this in your print settings in the computer.
Open your printer settings in control panel, (assuming you use windows) select the printer with right click, and choose properties. There should be an item labelled document preferences. In this you can select a between Portrait and landscape. Hope this helps.

Not all jpeg images will load on 7'' Pandigital Photo Frame

I was having a problem too with my Smartparts frame. All the pics were from the same camera but some of the vertical (portrait) orientation shots wouldn't show right. Just a bunch of thin colored lines. After some phone calls I did try to "resize" the photos to the "resolution" of my frame (had to look that up too). My frame is 640 width by 480 high. So I took a shot and changed all the goofy photos to 480 width (since they were vertical) and let Photoshop change the the other number. Low and behold the buggers are showing up fine now. Well on to my next problem - focusing with the new D90. I think that one is going to be more challenging yet. Hope this helps you out.

Panasonics DMC-TZ15 When on IA mode pictures taking indoors have a shadow along the profile of the item/face

That is because of the flash .... its not a problem it comes naturally as the flash of the camera is located at the left side it creates a shadow on the right side .... try to click a photo keeping the camera in portrait position (i.e Vertical position) that should eliminate the shadow

Print problems

Its probally the way your configuring the way the print file is printing (IE: portrait or landscape) portrait is the top side being 8.5" or landscape being 11" wide on top! First make sure your printer has both landscape and portrait formats loaded into your printer. This will help the you by when you go to print you can try both trays to print to. If this is not your problem then its the way driver is configured and possibly try printing to a pdf file. If you cannot create a PDF from the application try finding some trial software that will enable you to create PDF files. If you can create a good PDF file and can then print that file to your printer you will have better results, because the software your using might not be configured to work with this printer. PDF files will work great and you can see the preview before you print. If you have more info like what exact software you are using and what platform(PC or mac) and repost this question i will get the update and i can answer this question better.
