8G ipod nano wont play music or has any volume

Hi,

Please help me, i have been given an 8G ipod nano to upgrade from my classic, i have purchased media widget and have transfered all my songs into itunes version 8 from my classic and transfered everything on to the nano. All the content is there however when i press play nothing happens and i have no volume.

Whats wrong

Go to settings on the menu and select volume and set it to maximun it should work then

also try syncing and registering the ipod as it will help a litte too

take the headphones out play the music full volume then put the headphones in and lower the music all the way down then your volume will be normal and it will only play in through the head phones unless you take headphones out then it will play through speakers

Can't transfer songs from old ipod to new ipod

The following simple guidance is about transfer music from old iPod to new iPod with the "Transfer Purchases" function of iTunes:

Plug the Old iPod into computer via the USB cable. Then launch iTunes.
Click "File > Device > Transfer Purchases". iTunes will automatically transfer the songs to iTunes library.
Plug the new iPod into computer. Then import the songs from iTunes to the new iPod.

Hello,

You can always reset your iPod by pressing the home button (middle round button) and the play button. This will soft reset the device.

Boost Volume On 5th Gen 8G Nano

You want to select volume booster in the preferences tab in itunes and it will boost the volume on all songs.

Did you place the music on your iPod via iTunes, or just drag and drop to the device?

The music must be added through iTunes, or the iPod will just act as an external hard drive--storing your music, but you can't play it.

If you just dragged and dropped, take it off your iPod, start up iTunes, then add the music that way.
