Maytag mfi2269veb1 ice and water dispenser on door. Ice dispenser not working as happened when lost power for four days last Oct.( ice started up on its own few days later) Ice dispenser not working again after house water turned off for 30 hrs due to pipe leak in bathroom. Water dispenser working.

one possible solution is that the ice maker water valve has failed (solenoid). I would try switching the wires on the water valves and see if water goes into the ice maker when you push the water dispenser button, if it does the valve is ok. If you go this far go ahead and fill the ice maker with water ( about half to two thirds full) switch wiring back as first found and see if maker will freeze and dump ice, if it does ok, if not the problem is probably in the ice maker.

if the water runs constantly when you turn the water on its your valve but if it does it periodacally it probably your icemaker

Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in
it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let
it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then
try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell
you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
