From the title of the question, I see that your monitor is a Samsung.  What model number is it?

I have a Benq that was continually auto adjusting, I used electronic cleaner spray on all the controls (a good spray) and now there is no problem, suspect the controls were sticking, especially the on/off and the auto adjust button

What is a good electronic cleaner that is relatively inexpensive?

Try this: Right click on your desktop. From the pop-up menu, click on your graphics display (NVIDIA etc.) and then on the monitor you have (Dell1234 etc), or if not listed, click on 'properties', then the 'settings' tab, then 'advanced', then select the graphics display tab (NVIDIA etc.) Go through all the menus and click 'restore to defaults' and 'apply'. Hope this helps.

I don't know if this solution is credible to all monitors with this problem.... but have a gateway monitor and it kept doing that annoying "auto processing" flash while i worked...but i figured it out...for some wild reason i held down both the "auto" button and "contrast down" button and it fixed it. it will take a couple of tries but on a lucky push I did it and it went away and i havent had a problem since...I hope i have been a little help :)

Check that your monitor cable and power cables are secure at both ends. Appears that the signal is weak or intermittent

Auto adjusting

Hello,

This is normally caused when the monitor does not support the screen resolution the computer is set to. Change the screen resolution and see if that helps. Also, consider updating your graphics driver too.

Hope this helps

Why does the monitor keep "Adjusting" and how do I

In the setup Menu you probably have the auto adjust enabled.
go into the setup menu and locate the screen adjustments disable the auto adjust and see if that fixes your problem, if it doesnot call the Manufacturer technical rep. and ask them, it might need repair.
good luck...

My monitor is showing constant 'auto adjustment in progress' in every 3 sec, i cannot get rid of it.i cannot watch any movie or read my email.constant getting black out and showing me that same msg

it happens because you have selected( accidentally or otherwise) the resolution that the monitor cannot handle easily. So each time turn on the computer the screen tries to adjust itself to work with the resolution that you have selected. Select a screen resolution that the monitor can handle and work with.

Hi,
In case you have connected both the DVI and VGA cables to the back monitor can cause this problem. Try unplugging one of the cables and check if the problem gets resolved
