Fridge Door not shutting/sticking

Hello, The fridge door on our Zanussi Fridge/freezer has just stopped sticking altogether. I have cleaned the seal, and taken all the food out of the door and it still does not stick any longer - can you suggest a reason for this? The door is not damaged in any way and still sticks right etc. Thank-you for any suggestions.

The fridge door stays shut only by strip magnets inside the door seal. cause is possibly that the hinges are out of line or the cabinet distorted. try levelling the fridge and tilt slightly backwards

Fridges should be placed level, not tilted. You can hold a small, light piece of iron against the seal to see if it stays put (meaning the seal is still magnetic). If not, it has become demagnetized. The vibrations of slamming the refrigerator door may induce the magnetic dipoles to randomize and thus lose magnetization. Heating or an electric current may also be the cause.

My Neff fridge (K4316X1/GB) door does not close tightly on it's own and so does not seal properly unless I press it home

Try the following:
  1. Make sure there is nothing sticking out the fridge what could keep the door from shutting;
  2. Take a good look at the hinges and perhaps clean them or lubricate them (using Teflon spray);
  3. There is a white rubber strip all around containing the magnet with which the door should seal itself. Clean this rubber strip and the surface of the fridge it lands on;
  4. Make sure the fridge is level.

I have a kenmore top freezer refrigerator model 253 about 1 1/2 years old. The fridge door sticks at the bottom of the door and the bottom of the fridge inside. There are scratches on the fridge bottom...

i had the problem my self :)
you need to take the freezer door out then the fridg door and add small ring like 1mm to the hinges of the fridg door poot all back and see if it rais the door a bit....
what i did is on the top of the freezer there is option to move the door from side to side ...the plastic that go into the freezer body its a ring with long tube.. i cut the tube and use that plastic :) good luck

How to fit a Zanussi fridge door seal

You mean you have a door gasket. A good, step-by-step article on this pesky concept of "panel-screw" gasket installation is found on this handy page:

This should help!
