CFES36DB1 Frigidaire Slide-In Electric Range Switch Replacement

Infinite switch issue so need to change out one switch. I can't seem to figure out how to get the front panel off to gain access to the switch. I took off the 4 screws under the front control panel and now it is partially loose but not able to come off. I don't want to break the glass cooktop so am looking for help on what I need to do to remove the panel and gain access to the switches. Thanks

SOURCE: Help in Removing Frigidaire Smooth Cooktop Burner

What holds the spring assembly onto the bar assembly is just two small prongs. Use a pliers on the end that protrudes through the bar, squeezing the prongs together, and it should come out fairly easily.

My frigidaire oven will not come on,when i mash the switch to turn the oven on it will click and then it will click again but will not turn on

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

This indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor or a bad door latch switch mechanism or a bad control board. To solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement as then it seems that the door switch is also fine. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

The surface control knob of one of the surface elements of my range is not moving, what can I do

First try changing the knop with one of the others and see if it works then. If it does the one not working may have slipped down to far on the infinite switch shaft.

My Frigidaire FEFL79GSA cooking element is intermittent. Last night it went to high although the control knob was on low and would not turn off when the knob was turned off. I had to turn the breaker off...

I'm banking that infinite switch is bad (the knob) but there could be other issues. If it's just one burner doing it then I would assume the switch, but if not then I would get a technician.

Hope this helps, good luck...

Top burner shorted out and now the indecator light stays on. and the burner will not heat.

Hi, It sounds like the infinite switch has shorted out. You will need to change the burner switch. Did you have the burner tested or replaced?
Make dure everything conected to that burner is ok before changing the burner switch.
Please let me know if this helps you at all or if I can assist you further.

Kenmore infinite switch will not stop clicking after lighting

A little school lesson. Infinite switches on on electric ranges and cooktops. If you have clicking is it a gas range or cooktop? I have never heard of an infinite switch clicking. If it is gas, have you recently cleaned around the knobs? If not, that paticular spark switch will need to be changed. And if they are not wired individualy, the whole harness will need to be replaced.
