Loud fan noise and heat are symptoms of a dusty machine. Use canned air or a blower and dust it out. You'll want to have the machine open for this.

You may need to clean the fan and heatsink of dust. See the dust restricts the cool air from reaching the heatsink and this in turn causes your fan to spin faster. The computer's BIOS is programmed to increase CPU fan speed as CPU tempreature increases. If your fan is very loud, then it is running at the maximum speed possible. A clean heatsink will decrease the Processor's temperature.

Installing additional fans in your computer's chassis is an effective way of bringing the temperatures down. Install the biggest fans that your chassis supports. 120mm fans are better than 80mm fans as they can spin at slower speeds to provide the same airflow of a smaller fan. Therefore giving you a quiet computer.

Use a program called Speed Fan to ensure that your fans are indeed running at the desirable level of 100%

Hello there:
Normally on these heater motors they can get really loud when the fan gets a lot of buildup on them which causes the fan to make a lot of noise and also it will make the bearings in the heater motor to wear out What i recommend you do is to first try to remove the heater blower cover it inside of the vehical and see if the fan has a lot of dirt anddebris around it if it does clean it out next if the fan is clean go to the heater motor and try to feel and listen to the motor and see if it is very hot if it is chances are that the bearings are getting worn which would lead to you replacing the heater motor ok

well if its not attached to the motherboard in any place, for example the heat sync, or the cpu, then you can remove the fan, any other place, you shouldnt replace it because the mother board sets the fan at a certain rpm, and which would sound loud with any fan. I know this because i replaced the fan on my sony computer, and on a generic motherboard, and it was quiet, but when i put it on my sony computer, it was loud, so if you want to replace your fan, i suggest liquid cooling, it is completely quiet, and keeps your cpu much cooler than a fan. Might be the SMPS problem ,,, atleast can u see the blank screen or not at all powerig up ?

sounds like a fan is going out .. with the case open can you identify which fan is making the noise?

The only sure way to quiet it down is to replace the hard drives with newer ones, that you have selected based on their noise rating, AND to replace all the fans in the machine with fans that you have selected based on their noise rating. I did this for my self-built machine last year and never regretted spending the money on new drives and new fans. It's SO much quieter! ;)
