If you have a different White-Rodgers 1F78 thermostat, check for the manual at Emerson Climate by starting at http://climate.emerson.com/en-us/products/thermostats/thermostat-manuals . Click on the Enter Model Number button and start typing in the model in the search box. I found a number of models with 1F78 listed. After selecting a specific model, I found a link to the installation guide on the left side of the page, below the search box. (Note: the manual link was above the Suggested Replacement header for the models that I checked.)
Since you didn't give the furnance/air conditioning model number or the model number of the thermostat controlling them, it is impossible for us to give you good advice or instructions.
Suggest you obtain the make and model number of your thermostat and either google it for the owner manual or come back on the site with it and we will try to help find the owners manual for you.
check this link : Don't Know Your Model Number? after you verify the model number check our website put
the model number on the White-Rodgers Model Number Search/Cross
Reference then click submit this will lead you the way on how to secure a
soft copy of the instruction manual. If you having difficulty you can
call hometechline 18002842925.

OK I'm looking over the manual and as long as the model number is correct RS2630SH you may have only one of three things causing this. I needing to go to another website to confirm the type defrost system yours has. I will send you a manual when I return. It appears that you have a higher possibility of a defrost heater or defrost thermostat defective.I am getting mixed answers on a decision of a defrost control board. Just make sure your model number does not have a different number or letter missing. I will send as much as I can find on your model but checking the defrost heater and defrost thermostat would be the first thing to do. Unplug refrigerator and remove contents of the freezer rear wall. we need to use a meter to check continuity through the defrost heater. If one is bad replace both defrost heater part number DA47-00154A and defrost thermostat part number DA47-10160F.
One model came with a defrost control board but I just cannot find one on that model number so the motherboard controls defrost. I will send manual shortly. Thanks, Sea Breeze
You have a pre-programmed thermostat. You'll need to put in settings for each program setting in order to have the thermostat provide you with the heating/cooling temperatures you want at each time period of the day and for each day of the week (in the case of a 7 day programmable model.
Whenever you put in a manual temperature setting, it is only a temporary setting that will get reset at the next pre-programmed temp setting, unless you set the "HOLD TEMP" setting and select the number of days you want it to hold the temp you manually set on the T-stat.
If you can provide the model number, I can help you further with the programming of your T-stat.
This tells me that you need a new thermostat part number 297216600
You can get the part from Sears Parts Direct or at he link below; Above your link the model number is Sears number 25338622896 Below enter the part number in the model search feature. Thanks Sea Breeze
If the temp control works manually then that tells me that the tube that is connected to the thermostat is not telling the refrigerator compressor and fans to come on by sensing the temp change. The part number for the thermostat is 2198202 if the model number is correct above your post. If ED25PQXF is not the model number then we need to possibly change that number. Let me know, Thanks Sea Breeze
