You must ahve its remote control to select input.

Try connecting this TV to a VCR or DVD player. Then press channel two and continue to press channel down. See if this will work. Also...if you have an older model Emerson TV remote, it will operate the Orion TV. Let me know if this will work!

We would be happy to help you with getting your new DISH Network remote to control your TV. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TV button located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights come on, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your Orion TV; here are some of the codes we currently have for it: 720, 748, 748, and 748. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try several different functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV. Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for your Orion TV until you find one that is compatible with it.

I HAVE A 19 inch tv Orion MY DVD manual says I need a input remote so the unit can work

i have an orion tv and i lost my remote and i want to replace it with an rca remote. how can i do that/ and also i dont know where to find my part number so can you pliz help me?

Do you just mean to select channels, or do you need to have it search for active channels (programming mode)? If just select channels, then most remotes have channel up & down buttons, in addition to the number pad. To select by numbers, use 2 digits: 04, 06, 08, 10, 22 and so forth.

If the set needs to be placed in the setup or autoprogram mode to search for active channels, then the menu functions must be used.

You may be able to find an online manual on Orion's website. Use your TV model number.

VICTORY! Had the same problem with my Orion model FTDV2004. Lost the remote and couldn't program a universal remote to change the input to AV. After a day of reading posts, I just started pushing the channel up button. Somewhere past channel 115 the "Line1" and "Line 2" inputs showed up.
