With Linksys game adapter there's no power switch on it when you plug it to a power outlet if adapter is working the light should come on.

You can follow these troubleshooting to determine if adapter is really bad or something else.

Make sure that the power adapter that you are using came with the wireless gaming adapter.
Power adapter is connected properly to the back of the adapter and the electrical outlet.
Electrical outlet is preferably a surge protector.
Try another electrical outlet.
Unplug and replug the power adapter.
Hold the reset button for a minute, while the adapter is connected to the electrical outlet.
If there is still no power light then it is possible that the adapter is defective, and have it replace if still under warranty.

Try to use the game adapter as your wireless adapter to test if it is still working. Connect the game adapter to your PC and then configure it manually. Assign a static IP address on your PC same range as your game adapter and then configure the wireless settings same as your router. the Default IP address of the game adapter is 192.168.1..250.

If the ethernet light -( )- is off, flip the X - II switch to its other setting.

If the wireless light is off, click on the channel button, it should me IN. If still cannot connect, then you will need to setup the wireless settings of the gaming adapter.

First, you need to know the wireless settings on your wireless router or access point. Take note of the wireless network name (SSID) and wireless security settings.

Connect the gaming adapter to the router using an ethernet cable. Flip the switch on the adapter to straight through (II).

Then insert the Setup CD of the WGA11B to your computer. Click on the Setup button once the wizard is up. It will then show you the current settings, so just click next.

It will ask you for the password of the adapter, just type admin.

Make sure that Obtain IP address automatically is selected, then click next.

On the Profile configuration, select Internet for the mode.

Then enter the SSID and select WEP if wireless security is enabled on the wireless router. Type the passphrase of the WEP key. Then click No to complete the configuration.

Connect the gaming adapter back to the PS2.

There is a 90 % possibility that the wireless settings on the gaming adapter and the router are not the same. Try to reconfigure this again. Remember that the gaming adapter's wireless settings needs to synchronize with that of the router to make the gaming adpater works.
