If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Battery Dont Charge

jpierre's solution (in another thread) was right on the money. Touch the positive (+)end of the 9v battery to the positive (+) end of the camera battery.Leave them touching for a few seconds (10 seconds should be more thansufficient). Seems these lithium-ion batteries are subject to a'digital memory.' Subjecting it to a volt surge almost three timeshigher seems to clear it.

In short, it works like a charm.

SOURCE: one day camera just stopped turning on.

Try the following:
1). Check batteries whether they are fully charged.
2). Check with Battery terminal are clean. You can clean them with a ear bud using some alcohol or spirit. Wipe the battery terminal with a clean dry cloth.
3). confirm that the memory car slot/battery cover is securly closed.
4). Reload the battery several times. This will also remove poor contact between camera and battery terminals.
5).Check battery are loaded in the correct direction.

If the probem persists, you might need to take it to the service center.

SOURCE: camera wont turn on

Camera will not power on. Canon posted a bulletin regarding a possible solution for some SD950's at the following website. Apparently this model has a screw that can come loose inside and the camera will not power. They just found this to be the case with my SD950, and they fixed it for free. It was outside of the warranty by a couple months. They even sent me a prepaid UPS shipping label to send them my camera for repair. See the link below for more on this possible solution:

If you bought the camera in January, it's still under warranty for a year. When you get home call 1-800-OK-CANON to arrange warranty repair. They're usually very good about it, and will try to make things right.

2003 fuse 13 draw battery goes dead. fuse is marked clock backup 7.5a

Possible is the clock. The battery might not hold charge.
-How long you have this battery...?
-Each battery's life is last Only 5 Years.
-Here is a sample test:
Let the engine run for about 15 min, turn it off. Disconnect both battery's cables and hook up a voltmeter to it.
How many volt you first test. and then wait for 10-30 min and test again to see how much you get.
If it's lower than first test then the battery doesn't hold charge.
Time to get new one.

I have the exact same problem. I was able to charge the battery twice, but both times it ran empty after 20-30 min., and now the camera is dead as a brick. Absolutely nothing happens when I try to charge or turn it on. :(

I left the ignition on and the battery went dead. now the battery wont hold a charge. i can charge overnight starts right away. ride for 30 mins. turn off and it wont restart.

Is this an acid batter? If so you may need to add water to the appropriate levels for it to hold a charge after you put it on a trickle charger. Otherwise, I would say the battery is dead and you need to replace. Good luck!

My camera wont stay on it bleeps once then turns off

That sounds like your battery could be dead/not hold a charge. If you've charged your battery already and your camera still won't stay off and turns off right away, it's time to purchase a new battery for your Samsung TL105.

You can purchase replacement batteries quite cheap here:

Camera wont charge. Was for a while but now displaying batteries cannot be charged.

sounds you may have to replace the batteries, but try taking out the battery from the camera and press the power button for about 10 seconds. Keep it turned off without the battery for 5 min then reconnect the charged batteries

My irobot (Roomba)is only working for 10 mins then

It should take about 6 hrs to charge. I had the same problem and reset the charging circuit. 1) Charge it until the green light comes on. 2) Unplug and pull battery out. 3) hold down the power on button 15-30 seconds. 4.) Put the battery back in, plug in the charger (direct - not through the dock) and charge for 72 hrs. Then, run at Max clean until the "I'm dead" tune plays.

My digital camera wont turn on after leaving it in a hot car.

high temperature is a lithium batteries worst enemy .. also the LCD display doesnt like that .. you might try removing the battery for 10 min .. check to make sure its not swollen .. then replace it and see if that resets your camera back to a working condition .. see if the camera will work with the charger hooked up .. if not your camera might be toast .. if it does work on the charger then the battery may have been damaged by the heat ..

Nikon D90 Memory Card Access Blinking

It's a deadly common problem of D90. Fixation:Simply go to the DSLR repair shop and ask them to change the power circuit board of the camera. Will take $60-70 if the board available. Reason of issue:The power control IC get short and feedback the battery power to the battery causing the draining out and other problem like the top LCD back lamp turned ON after turning on the camera. Careful:To avoid this issue in future, after full charge of the battery, do not put it in the camera right then. Wait for the battery to cool down for 5-10 min and then put it in. With the full charge, the battery hold high ampere for a short time. It could damage the power distributor IC suddenly if you put it in the camera right after a full charge.
