My husband plugged his Philip's system into my laptop

Try using head phones to see if you get sound. If you get sound ur speakers on the laptop are blown, if not it might be the sound circuit. You should check Device Manager to see if ur sound card is showing up or if there is an error on it. If its blown you might not find any sound device or it might be highlighted with an error

Sound

Hi Branchy, what brand of laptop is? did you put in the right slot the (out) SPK, verify this , and see if you can play your CDS, also check if not in mute, if problem persist, I recommend use a USB sound card and prove again, sometimes internal sound cards on laptops give problems, also check your BIOS if your sound card is DISABLE, enable again.
hope this help!

No sound devices found

This is a link to the download site for Toshiba drivers. Select the model of your laptop and click Go to retrieve a list of available drivers. Before doing this, however, you need to be certain of the model number of your laptop. Equium is the make of toshiba desktop computers and A60 is the model number for a Toshiba Satellite laptop. Look on the bottom of your laptop for a label that will have the exact model number you need then select that on the website.
