My image on the monitor is streched. Out of proportion.

The screen resoultion may be set too high.
Go to Control Panel - Display - click on the Settings tab, then adjust the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 to see if the proportion is OK, if not then adjust the next higher setting until the proportion is OK.

When i turn on my laptop everything on the screen goes big

Do you mean the icons are huge?
If so the screen resolution is set to low eg, 640 X 480
To change the screen resoultion go to and click on Start - Control Panel - Display - Settings tab and move the slider on the Screen resolution to the right until 1024 by 768 then click OK
If this is not suitable change the Screen resolution higher or lower to suit your requirements.

Will not display full screen. Windows 2000 professional OS. Problem happened suddenly.

Check if you are able to change the Display Setting, from the Control Panel. And select the Resoultion 800 X 600,

Then try 1600 X 900 and so On.

If it works then good, otherwise let me know the error message comingup.

Dear You need to adjust the computer resoultion to one of the following..

1088 x 612

1280 x 720

1360 x 768

you can increase it more; depends on your graphic card installed in system..

HOw to change the resoultion??

First right-click on the desktop and then left click on Properties from the menu that appears.

The display properties dialogue box will appear as shown in fig 1.1 below, click on the settings tab at the top right of the box.

Screen Resolution
This slide bar is what you use to change the resolution, the options you have will depend on your graphics card and monitor.

Changing the Resolution
To change your resolution simply slide the bar along to the resolution of your choice and then click the Apply button.

After clicking Apply your screen will resize to the new resolution and you will be presented with a confirm dialogue box (see left), if you are happy with the way your screen looks then simply click Yes, if you would like to try a different resolution click No.

When you have finished simply close the Display properties box.

Let me know if it helps...

Trouble with video graphics

Do you mean that the icons look very large and colours are a bit harsh? if so it could be that the screen resolution is set to low.

Try this...

Right click on the desktop, and choose 'properties' from the list

a new dialog box will appear called 'display properties'

along the top is a series of tabs, the last one is called 'settings'

click on this and you will then see details of your screen resoulution.

Halfway is a slide bar called screen resoultion
for example..

less -------|------- more

move the slider untill the numbers change to 1024 by 768 pixels

to the right is another box called colour quality - change this to 'highest (32bit)

click apply

click ok

the screen will briefly go black then you will see the desktop, you will get a confirmation box asking along the lines of 'do you wish to keep these settings' click yes to this

have a play with the desktop, open some windows and see if they are now fully visable to you without having to scroll.

You can go back and change your resoultion anytime you want, by following the above. But take note, some monitors will not display all the resoultions in the list, you will get a message to say if it is or not. Just play with the settings untill your happy.

Hope this helps
