SOURCE: My Sansa m240 freezes at the title screen.

I have the same problem. I called tech support 1-866-726-3475 and they talked me thru several cures. None of which worked. My unit is about 8 months old. After trying all the options, they gave me a rma number and are sending me a replacement. I think they have had some trouble with this lot of players, they were very nice and it took no prodding from me for a replacement! Good Luck1

SOURCE: transfer WMA files to Sansa c250

There two types of WMA file - protected and unprotected (also called "DRM-free" and "DRM-encrypted"). Some protected or encrypted WMA's may allow you to play back on your computer, but will not allow you to play those same files on an mp3 player. There are only two ways around your problem - one is expesnive, and one is illegal:
1) You can purchase additional rights on Overdrive to transfer your audiobooks to a "portable device" (by which, they include mp3 players).
2) You can download a program such as Tunebite to strip the Overdrive of it's DRM license, rendering the file of its protection (I would NOT reccomend this route).

The WMA files that you had that worked before were either unprotected, or were protected but had transfer rights.

Why does it freeze when I try to finalize the disk? Nothing works - power - exit- cancel - menu - nothing.

Like a computer then do crash sometimes. It maybe because the disc is quite full, or too full and it can't write the menu to it. It could be just the title menu that's the problem. You can try a few other options, such as changing the title design. Trying a better quality disc for example.
I don't think it's an electronic fault on your machine that is the problem. Unless it won't finalise a single TV show short length on to a disc.

My Sansa c250 has NO FILES on it, yet shows ''NO MEMORY'' available

Try this. Go to settings, reset all. connect to computer, when the popup displays, select view files. all should be there. I had the same problem today and that solution worked for me.

Need the sansa c250 driver; won't charge from xp

this player really sucks ... and believe ... i love sandisk players... my solution for this was the following:
i ve got a wall charger (for itself it almost did nothing)
i put my player to dial and FM station (like i was listenning to a radio)
waited some seconds and connected my charger.

it appears that the player freezes but after 2 to 4 hours it get full charged.

before that i tried everything and nothig was solving the problem.
