SOURCE: loud noise from the freezer side

The problem is a buildup of ice on the plastic housing (the curved plastic bit) in the back of the freezer under the fixed shelf where the icetub goes. The fan behind this plastic housing is hitting the ice when the defrost comes on.

Unplug the fridge, unpack the freezer, remove the four screws in the back, take off the sheetmetal backing and let the fridge thaw. You can remove the plastic piece after a while and get the ice off (be careful not to remove the styrofoam insulation by going too quickly).

Reassemble and you're back in business, for a few months. I'm never buying Samsung again myself.

SOURCE: Loud humming noise as fridge is running

Sounds like the freezer fan is rubbing some wires or possible some foam insulation around the fan. I would look into the freezer compartment fan and go from there. The fan Will Shut off when you open the doors. Let me know how you make out and if you need anymore help.

Thanks,
Bill

SOURCE: fridge has just started making loud noise and temp too high

sound like that you have a ice build up thats hitting your fan blade. Take and do a manual defrost on the frig side and be extra careful removing the cover in the back because there's 11 screws that have to come out before trying to remove the back poanel. Also if theres stillo ice in there what happens is that when you try to pull the back panel off it breaks off the stryrofam that samsung used for the air paths to cool the frig. so be extra carefull removing theses and if oyu do tear any and the airflow is not going the corect way you will drive yourself bonkers always defrosting htis unit. so heed my warning on this particular unit. its a great unit if you can psture what has to happen for the air flow to be correct. also put all of the screw back in correctly on the panel too. don't skip any because then the air flow is compromised. Good Luck and don't forget to rate the answer please. Haooy Neew Year!!!

SOURCE: Sears Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - Loud humming noise

That sound is usually your icemaker calling for water. you can turn off your icemaker by lifting the little arm on the icemaker. As the icemaker calls for water the valve will be activated and will hum. This sound is usually not very loud. If your valve is making that much noise you may consider replacing the valve. The part number for you water inlet valve is #2315533 The retail price is $60.18 . I do have these on hand and available to ship out today if you need one. Please just let me know. You may also consider replacing your filter if your refrigerator has one. Thanks and I hope this will fixYa

Loud humming noise

Have you had the noise before or did it just start?

Try to isolate where the noise is coming from. From under the fridge? On the back wall of the freezer side? If those two, could possibly be one of the fans.

My samsung fridge/freezer is only 3 years old, just started making loud noise, then when the fridge is opened sounds like the fan making a loud noise that goes down and stops. Then not long after that...

Compressors usually make a thrumming/humming noise, so yes, this sounds like the fan. It could be something touching the fan blades, like ice or a wire. If you can unplug the fridge and remove panels near the fan, you may discover the problem.

Our Samsung fridge srs757dw is making weird noises(it hums loudly). When the Freezer door is open it stops but as soon as it closes the noise begins again. What do you think is the problem?

Sometimes this can be due to vibrations within the duct , possible that the ventillating fan is frosted and so makes the noise with the door closed. So shut down fridge for few hours to defrost and check. Also make sure there are no loose screws or clips on the back panel and the evporator section that can cause vibration.

Noise coming from the rear end of my 2004 honda pilot it really only occurs during cold weather and after it warms up you hear it slightly

When does the noise occur, while driving only, or driving and idle, in gear, or in neutral and park? If it occurs all the time (while driving and at a stand still in cold weather) it could be the fuel pump. If it occurs only while driving, it may be a wheel bearing. Describe the noise (humming, grinding, whirring, etc), and what is the mileage on the Pilot? Answer my questions so I can fine tune my answer. Thanks!

Loud humming noise as fridge is running

if you have ice buildup then the fridge may be low on freon.
or there is dust clogging around the pump or fan is not running.
remove the bottom or back and look around the compressor.
see that the fan is running.
