Symptom: The flow meter / water turbine on our 9 year old Saeco Magic Deluxe is leaking. Confirmed via cracking open the coffee maker casing. I replaced it and we still have leak issues. This may just be a symptom because it seems to be more of a pressure issue (too much) than the flow meter being "bad". The finer the ground of coffee, the more it leaks. Previously to this it was leaking a little but we had the problem of the coffee grind being pretty coarse and the dregs in the puck box being wet. We fixed the coffee grind, replaced the flow meter. The dregs are nice and firm now but we have the leaking at the flow meter still. No other symptoms at this time. Machine is descaled / cleaned at the regularly recommended intervals. Any insight to what to check / work next is greatly appreciated.

I would repair it, it sounds like the grinder needs to be adjusted (burrs may be dull), and the leak on the bottom may be coming from the small drain hole on the back of the brew chamber. If you remo;ve the chamber you will see the white water valve that the chamber connect to, if you look below the white valve the small chamber in there will be filled with water, below that there is a small discharge use a stit stick or paper clip to clear hole.

Hi Try reprogramming the machine. Push and hold the button for the coffee you want, but hold it all the way through the process. Don't release the button until you get the amount of coffee you want for that button, then release the button. That should get you the same amount next time. You can do this for each coffee button. If that doesn't fix it, then you might need a new flow meter.
