This is the owners instalation manual for the rockford punch P162S. Afret reviewing the instal guide the tweter wire should be black and red red being the positive. typicly the red is positive in most situations.http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/support/rftech.aspx?kbsrc=http://rftech.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/rftech.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=861&p_li=&p_topview=1#knowledge

SOURCE: Rockford Punch HE2 wiring question.

if your sub will handle it, bridging it will give you more power. The best thing to do is to find out how much power the amp puts out ( RMS ) and if it is in your power handling range bridge it. It sounds better and gives you a harder punch because of more power.

SOURCE: when my bass hits, my car lights flicker.

Is the problem much more noticeable when the car is at idle? Double check that Alternator output. 70 amps is not high output, and if the problem is especially noticeable at idle, it's probably due to the alternator putting out lower voltage( a common thing with alternators). Also, with that much draw from your sub amp, the wire from battery to alternator should be beefed up, as well as the ground wire from battery. You can make up your own cables by purchasing the wire to length and wire lugs at a local Welding shop, 4 gauge from alternator to battery is good. High output aftermarket Alternators shoot into the 200 amp range.

SOURCE: i need to wire up a rockford fosgate punch hx2 12"

Wire it in a series. One wire from amp positive to one positive speaker terminal. One wire from amp negative to negative speaker terminal. This should leave one positive and one negative termianl on the sub. Use one additonal wire to connect these two, this wire should not be connected to anything else other than the two remaining terminals. This will allow you to have the music up louder with higher amp settings without having to worry about blowing the speaker as easily.

SOURCE: i just need to know

The fuse like componets in the crossover are not fuses and do not provide absolute protection from the speakers blowing. As you turn the volume up you will notice that these fuses will begin to light up along with the music. Whats happening is as they light up they create resistance to help prevent the speakers from blowing.

SOURCE: I purchase a Rockford Fosgate

Open and replace the crossovers for each speaker. Check the wiring for the crossovers and be sure the wires are not cracked or broken.

I have a rockford fosgate punch P325.1 subwoofer mono amp that blows a fuse every time i start the car. I have a second pioneer amp but that works with no problems. How can i fix this?

Is it the correct size fuse ? Is it the power fuse or remote ? Either way check your connections going into the amp . Try this hook your other amp to the set of wires for the rockford if that amp has a problem its a wireing problem if not chances are its an interal problem on the rockford . Hope this helps !
