Removed the screws on either side of the handle, the handle is SUPPOSED to slide out but the thing just won't budge! Have tried WD-40 and it still wont move....so how do I replace the foam?
Hi! I had the same problem...After some pulling, banging, and swearing I went to the kichen to put on the kettle to have some tea and try to think an another way to solving this problem, when I found the lemon juice bottle...And acid supposed to work on rust!...So I soaked those parts where the plastic and the metal is rusted together in lemon juice (citric acid :-) ) I spooned some LJ into the little holes where the screws were, than I waited about 5 hours...But no success. So in frustration I picked up a rolling pin, covered the metal part of the handle in a tea towel, placed the plastic elbow on a clean chopping board and firmly but carefully I hit the bendy part of the handle just above the elbows 2-3 times on both sides...I guess the acid and the resonancy from the banging worked, as after this I was able to turn both elbows to left and right, than pulled them from the metal :-)

Hi! I had the same problem...I stripped the handle-bar already, since the replacement foam was on its way...Than I couldn't take it apart!!! I used some lubricant that claims will remove and loose rust, but without any success...Than I turned into my kitchen and poured around a half a cup of lemon juice on each elbow, soaked both elbows in little plastic bowls with the lemon juice. I was spooning some acid into the little holes where the screws were before, and let it work its magic...After 5 hours (and lots of spooning) I picked up a rolling pin, covered the metal part of the handle with a tea towel, placed the folded up plastic "elbow" on a clean chopping board, and firmly but carefully I hit the handle at the bendy part 2-3 times...From the resonancy and the acid I was able first to turn the plastic elbows on left than to right, than to pull them from the metal... :-) Hope this help!!!

SOURCE: how do i replace the
If you need to replace the foam, you need to take the handle bar off first. You will find screws, below and above the button, on the side of the handle near to where you can adjust the handle height. This way you can unscrewing the handle and replace the foam.
