Your power supply is probably dying. You can bring it in to a pc shop and have them test it or you can test it yourself with a psu tester like one of these:

SOURCE: Dell latitude d600- won't boot up!!!

Based on what the guy said, it could be a heat issue. The internal fans of your laptop may have shorted, meaning they aren't working. You should have them checked out for any loose connections or burnt out parts. Have any reconnected and replaced as needed. Opening it yourself with no prior experience to such a task can worsen the problem.

My inspiron 1525 won't boot, the scroll light and caps lock blink

Remove 1 stick of ram and turn on, if no! take out the second one and put back the first, and power on, if okay you know the 1 stick is bad. Remove main battery and power on, "long shot" if no change chances are it is a motherboard issue.

Have a dell laptop but it doesnt start when i push the power key a little lock with the letter a inside blinks what does this mean then the computer shuts off by itself

That icon is the indicator for Caps Lock (aka Shift Lock). When in the operating system (Windows), you can turn the icon on (or should be able to) by pressing the CAPS Lock key, and turn it off by pressing the CAPS Lock key again.

My loptop D610 turn on ,caps lock blinks and ater 3 to4 secons it

I would try clearing the cmos battery. It's located under a small door under the laptop battery. Unhook the wire (laptop unplugged) and let it sit for 20 minutes. Hook it back up and try to power up. If that doesn't work www.pcrepairhelp.net has techs that work on laptops.

Dell latitude D600 problem

The flashing caps lock is an indication of a failed POWER on Self-Test (POST)

Remove the HDD, Battery, AC adapter, RAM and Modem

Press and hold power button for 15 seconds

Connect AC, see if you get any beep codes. If you do, power off, disconnect power, insert RAM, connect AC and reboot. If system boots, power off and add hard drive. If it doesn't, replace the motherboard.

If the system boots with RAM, but fails to boot with HDD, replace HDD 1st.
