i recently activated and paired my motorola bluetooth headset to my blackberry 9650. I found online a motorola page through a search which had a support section in which was an illustrated guide for pairing headset to handset, which was extremely helpful. However neither phone nor headset had a correct model number listed, so I choose similar a handset and headset to use for the illistrated support. After turning on the bluetooth, making sure it is discoverable (which should be the default setting on your bluetooth since there is no screen or buttons for you to change things besides on/off and volume), and pairing the two, the phone asks for a pass code for the headset. Now as i said in the beginning you have to choose a certain model handset and headset, so in the illustration they give you pass code for the specific headset, however my headset was not listed. I have a motorola bluetooth model number h505 and i choose model number h520. The pass code given for the h520 was 0000, which worked for my h505. I just went back to the site and there is an option for passkeys (passkey, pass code, and pairing code are all the same thing). If you have motorola, the code is either 1234, or 0000 (four zeros). This is the link directly to the motorola support site, I hope this novel I just wrote helps, good luck. https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/21216/p_country_code/US

password are for security and privacy reasons.. missmatched password while pairing bluetooth devices means you have entered incorrect pass code. usually the the device A you are searching with asked you to create a pass code when you are pairing device B. When connection is establishing, device B will ask you for the pass code you just created for pairing device A with device B. this pass code is different for each and everytime you connect to a device.
Also note that some of the IHF1000 carkits may also use 1234 for the passcode. When you go into the Setup Menu and ask it to Pair a Phone, the prompt will tell you the correct passcode (0000 or 1234) to enter by saying, "Enter xxxx, when requested".
Press the all-in-one button for about 8 seconds until the light is constantly on, this puts it in pairing mode. then go to your device and initiate pairing. the device code is 0000.
When done the blue light should shut down, and your all set.
No, 0000 did not work for my cell phone. Could it be the phone?
how do you know when your bluetooth is dying or is dead?
Ditto, what can I do.
