SMB Scanning A few days ago the error started occuring again. Whenever I try to scan to my SMB Box I get a Login Error and a Forward TX error. I get these two errors every time I try and scan now. Has anyone had this problem or know what the issue is? Thanks!

We have the same problem with our bizhup. It just stopped scanning to the shared folder on the our server. We have tried multiple accounts, including domain admin accounts and still cannot get it to work. We get the logon error in the log.

I have this problem too, and have tried many things, when you go to Job History it says: deleted due to problem

I had the same issue and fixed it by adding the group "Everyone" to the shared folder permissions (where I was sending my scans) and assigning the "Everyone" group rights to "change" and "read".

This could also happen if the users password is over 14 charaters long. I had a user to change his password to a 16 charater password. It took a couple of hours before I noticed in the web interface that after the 14 char. you stop typing.

I faced the same problem, and after searching and troubleshooting I found out that the computer I was trying to send to had no password (windows login password) so the solution was just to create a password and update the details on the Store Address in the Printer page.

Go to User Setting -> FAX -> OneTouch -> -> Destination -> user password so that you can change the SMB password information sot that you can use it with restrictions..

A Forward TX error means the shared folder permissions are incorrect.

The login error is caused by a wrong username or password in the settings for SMB if you are using DNS. The username and password should be the same as the login for your PC.

Try turning the printer off for 60 secounds and see if the reboot will solve the problem. Do make sure all cables are connected properly so your computer will be able to load the correct drivers at start up of the printer.

I get the message "communication error occured" on my bizhub 250

this error usually occurs when the machine fails to make any connection with the computer or any other network, for example to send an email, through smtp, or while scanning using smb, if this message appears without these above mentioned reasons then its "communication board" problem.

Can't scan to smb

in smb server, create a folder and give all rights, to that folder, if youre in domain, it may need you to use a password, so create a user and password and give rights that user in folder then go youre printer ip address, and add a contact, choose smb and fill in the fields. if error occurs, then choose details and you see whats wrong
