Hitachi 52" flat screen tv the serial number is v5k012243. model # 51f710a i have tried unplugging it as well as reseting my pvr.
Are you getting the red led light? If not, please check the power outlet for any loose contacts. Try the TV on some other power outlet. If the TV does not work still, cool it off for 48 hours, after removing the plug and retry.

Versed, you have to open the back panel (cover) to access the lamp. replacing is easy as soon as you can see it. loosen the mounting bolt and pull to unplug the lamp from the SMPS Lamp power supply. Thats it.

I think you have problems with the digital main PWB.
If the power PWB failed, turn off and change the pilot ligth to red.

Try to use the reset factory reset feature. Unplug the set. After unplugging press the power button for 30 seconds. Plug the set back in and turn it on.

I had this exact problem on my Vizio 47" HDTV. I removed the speakers and all the screws on the back cover. Took the cover off and located the fuses on the largest circuit board. The are in the upper right hand corner of the board. There are 3 of them in a row labeled LF 1.5, LF 3.0 and LF 3.0. The are white in color with copper ends. I took a volt meter and measured continuity across all fuses individually and found the LF 1.5 to be blown. The guy at the electronics store sold me a barrel 1.5A fuse and told me to soldier it across the top of the blown fuse. It took an extra set of hands but the TV works perfectly.

9 times out of 10 its the power supply unit inside around $150 replacment charge.
you could check the fuse in there and see if it did not take a surge.
You could also check the capcitors in there and see if those are not blown with a voltage menter.
If you do not know how to do what I meantioned leave it to the experts pay the $150 charge and move right along with a good tv for another couple years. Please do rate
