Windows 7 Ultimate x64 seems to detect correctly drivers as installed. (VIAVT1708S_Audio_V6017100_Windows7_WHQL) but no sound comes to speakers nor headset in frontal plug. (of course I tested speakers and headset with another device and sound is ok). Also nvidia geforce 9600 GT hdmi audio device is not detected.). No error or another misfunction, Only no sound.

SOURCE: Asus P5GZ-mx compatible graphics cards

Basically, any graphics card is capable of being compatible with this motherboard. I had some difficulties for a while until I figured out you have to MANUALLY set it to use your PCIE 2.0 GPU output.
How to do this is to set your jumpers to external output only. First thing you'll want to do is update the BIOS on the motherboard (Which you can do by getting "Asus-Update". Find it on google, easy to use, just make sure your computer doesn't crash during the BIOS flashing.
Afterwards, set the jumpers to use your PCIE-2.0 slot. Took me a little while to figure this out, and it's a little hard to explain.
Above your PCIE-2.0 slot there are 5 little blue 'plastic-like' things. Those are your jumpers. Take them out and insert them HORIZONTALLY as such:
+ [ + + ] + [ + + ] + [ + + ] + [ + + ] + [ + + ]
Basically, make sure the jumper things are connecting the little drawing there. They HAVE to be horizontally inserted, otherwise this WILL NOT WORK. Just plug in your monitor to the graphics card's output, and you're good to go. Hopefully it works for you.

SOURCE: audio device p5ad2-e deluxe with windows 7

This worked for me. You need the sound drivers for the "Intel C-Media High Definition Audio CMi9880".

I went to this sight www.softwarepatch.pl/plikd.php

Its in a different language but click on the box.
i downloaded the audio file called UDAX008(Logo56.62).zip.

Click on the box, and downloaded the zip file.
Unzipped it.
Then change the compatibility mode of the Setup.exe file to Winxp Sp3 by going to the properties of the Setup.exe file and click on the Compatibility tab. Check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for". And change it to Windows XP Service pack 3.

The drivers are actually meant for windows xp but they are working fine for me and im very happy now. I was worried like you. I hope it works for you.

SOURCE: ASUS P5GD2 Deluxe motherboard with no sound

This is a known isue and ASUS is working on a sound driver for the chipset. Keep checking their site for driver updates. The board should all install with Windows 7 except for the sound drivers. Some people say they can install the vista driver and run it in vist or xp compatibility mode. The other thing you can do is pick up a cheap $20 Win 7 compliant sound card till the chipset driver issue is resolved.

SOURCE: I just install windows 7 OS but no audio, where

Go to the following DriverEasy website, download and install. Follow the instructions and it should allow you to download and install the correct drivers for your Motherboard. Much easier than trying to find the drivers on the ASUS website.

Looking for driver MF5630 canon Win_64

I have spent hours to find a solution... there is no driver. But there are definitely 2 solutions:
1. MF5630 - using ONLY printer in Win 7 x64:
You have to use the drivers for MF5700 Series - http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=4213082682609f383f81540957d

1. First, Click on the Start button in your screen, further click on Control Panel button and then double click on Devices and Printers button.
2. Then click on Add a Printer button in the menu.
3. Further select the Add a local printer button from the available menu.
4. Then choose an existing LPT port and click Next button .
5. Further select the correct driver from the driver list menu for your printer. Suppose if the requisite driver is not available then click on the Windows Update button. After the Windows 7 Update installation finishes in your computer, once again search for the appropriate driver for your printer.

2. FINAL SOLUTION - for printer and scanner - if you have proper PC configuration:)

Win7 has a possibility: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/install-and-use-windows-xp-mode-in-windows-7

you can install the WIN XP environment where you can easily install driver for Canon MF 5630 (or any other by Win7 x64 not supported printer/scanner) and additional software.

BUT YOU NEED to run: Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate editions. Windows XP Mode is not supported on Windows 8.
Your BIOS must support Virtual Machine.

Hello sir , i installed windows7 in my pc but i cant hear sound. help me to solve this problem. my mother is M2N-MX SE PLUS

Hi vinayan092, The Asus website still do not have the audio driver for this model, try installing the windows Vista driver on this link http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM2/M2NMX/#download, if you have installed this successfully, you can try to check in device manager if windows detected this successfully.

No sound in Windows 7

Hi,

Uninstall all the audio drivers and restart the computer. Make sure the audio jack is in the Green audio port.

Let the operating system re-detect the audio and install the drivers for it itself. When its done see if you have any sound.

Post back if this does not work.

Good luck.

2 Asus motherboards with no sound

There's only really two things you can try.

One, check first into the BIOS and make sure that the integrated sound is enabled.

Next, check to see if your video card, if it is PCI express, because it sometimes has their own sound.

If you have done these two things, then perform an ASUS update to the BIOS. Perhaps the BIOS is flaky.

If this doesn't work and you have checked everything else, then you'll need to contact ASUS directly about the motherboard issue.
