The camera won't deface your photos by printing a bunch of numbers on them, but it does store the date and time (and a lot more) with each photo file. You can choose to include some of it when you print the photo. Depending on the program you use, you may be able to print the date on the photo, in the margin, or on the back. Please refer to the documentation for the particular program for details on the procedure.
The time and date (and a lot more) are stored with every picture when taken, and the data remain with the picture when transferred. Just about any photo viewer should be able to show you the so-called "EXIF" data. For example, in Windows Explorer if you simply hover the mouse over a picture it will show the date/time it was taken.
If you want the date stamp to appear when you print, please refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. Depending on the program and printer, you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.
The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back. If you don't want the date printed, turn off this option.
To print the date You can set/cancel the printing with the recorded date by pressing the [DISPLAY] button after setting the number of prints. The date print icon [ ] appears.
•When using the software “SD Viewer for DSC” in the CD-ROM (supplied), you can print pictures with the date by setting the position on the print preview screen. For details, refer to the separate operating instructions about PC connection. •When you go to a photo studio for digital printing, be sure to order the printing of the date additionally if required.
The date and time (and a lot of other information) is always stored with the picture file in what's called the EXIF data. By default this is not shown on top of the image since neither the camera nor any photo viewing program knows which portion of your photograph is unimportant and can be obscured by this data.
Any photo editing program should be able to show you this data, probably in a separate window. Most photo printing software likewise can print this data, either on top of the picture or in the margins or on the back. Please refer to the documentation for whatever program(s) you're using.
to keep the date on, you have to leave the camera off with a charged battery for 24 hous to charge the inner battery that keeps date on. If this doesn´t solve the problem then is because the inner battery won´t charge anymore, but it will take pictures as normal without the date. To avoid this don´t leave the camera too long without use or with a worn battery.
By default Olympus cameras do not print the date on the images when they are downloaded to a PC. Olympus does not include this functionality because they feel that it detracts from image quality. There is a function of the camera called print order that you can set that it will print the date on the images but this is only if you take the card to a photo processing store. However if you use the Olympus Master software and print the images that you have previously transferred there is a check box in the print setting window that you can add the date and or time to the printed image.
The date doesn't actually appear on the image. It's embedded in the data. You can see the date/time stamp by right-clicking on the image and selecting properties. You should see the date taken, date modified, etc..
You need to take the photos with the date option on, and it becomes a permanent part of the photo. You cant turn the option on and off dynamically. Use the cameras menu to turn the date on and you should be OK from here on in! Thanks!!!
