I got a camera last year and the camera hasn't worked since the first week. i turn it on its says processing then goes right to a screen that says connecting fail! dont know what to do. sanyo vpc-s750 p

Iris is not the cause of black screen.First confirm that shutter is opening as soon as you switch on camera.If shutter is not opened and you can't see live view on screen except black screen,then certainly there is problem with shutter assambly.

If shutter opens and you see black screen then there is problem with CCD.

Mine says Lens error 22 or I get a bunch of Dim lines across my screen It cost me $135 for this camera and it was my first!

Short battery life when idle - Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD2000
Strange, mine lasts a very very very long time, but in a standby state (power on, just close the lcd lid). Have you tried to just keep it in the standby state? I will never turn it off unless I need to, like to change sd cards, because it is super quick to capture video and it does not kill the battery.
I have 2 of these dual cameras and John is quite right, the Sanyo HD2000 is not a "normal" camera, its quite abnormally exceptional and way ahead of its time! Having a f1.8 lens, 1/2.5" cmos, 1080p @ 60 FRAMES/second, really makes it not "Normal". You will need a better computer to process the crazy 1080p/60fps images.

I would first try a new battery. It could be the battery will not hokd a charge. Then if that does not work . Deep 6 it.

Error 2111 on camera VPC-S750 when i try to zoom in it says lens error 2111 and shuts off. the lens does not close when i turn my camera off.

My Sanyo Xacti VPC 60 has problem in battery. After taking 2 -4 pics the camera is OFF.
Right from the day of purchase we are facing this problem since last 1 Year.
