Hi, I have a problem with my Rio Forge Mp3 player. At first it was switching on and off and flashed the word 'upgrader' so I tried to reformat and the same problem occured. But it worked when I plugged it into the computer and now it doesnt. I tried downloading a firmwire upgrader and all of them say they have expired. My mp3 is stuck in upgrader mode now, I tried reseting it and replacing the battery and that doesnt work. I dont know what to do, I thought maybe I could save it with the upgrade but none of them are working. I know very little about technology, but am I able to save my mp3 or is it completly destroyed?..I have had it for almost two years and this is the first time its ever acted up. I dont know what to do, its stuck in up grader mode when I turn it on, I cant do anything with it on the computer now, I cant play songs or change songs..can you help me with this problem?..My friend said I fried it or theres something wrong my my harddrive? How come none of the rio firmware upgrades work (there from the website)I havnt dropped or gotten my mp3 wet, but I do listen to it all the time and change the songs alot (but dont reformat it) do you think thats why its acting like this? or maybe its just the brand? thanks

Same problem here. No amount of updates or battery removal will help. Purging, re-downloading, reformatting...all failed. I'm afraid at this point there is nothing left to do but toss it.
My problem is dat my mp3 (acoustic solutions) is deleting music on its own

Keeps rebooting? turns on, flashes between new content, sorting, integrating, off........repeats continuously. Have upgraded firmware, replaced battery?? Use rio manager and can add/delete music. HELP!!!
My rio forge is stuck in upgrader mode too. I went to the rio site to update the firmware. The rio says it's writing, when I executive the firmware update, and then when it finishes, it says "restarting." It never restarts, it just hangs in that mode. I can't turn it off and none of the controls work. I took out the battery and let it sit for an hour or so, but when I put the battery back in and started it up, it's still in upgrade mode. I repeated the firmware installation and it did the same thing: updated, hung in "restarting" mode, only will shut down if I remove the battery, then when I reinsert battery, it's hung in "upgrader" mode.
