Dishwasher Drying Problem

Just purchased a new Bosch built-in dishwasher and after the cycle has finished, it seems that the interior of the dishwaser is not drying. I did not use the rinse agent as I had just received the dishwasher and just wanted to "test" it out, so I ran a cycle without it. Could this be the problem? Also I read on another message board that these dishwashers do not have heated drying capabilites. Is this true??? I was not aware of this fact, even though I feel like I did extensive research before purchasing. Thanks in advance Carol C.

Same problem here. When washed overnight, everything is wet in the morning. I wish I knew this before the purchase...

Rinse agent is essential and best to use seperate detergent and rinse aid and not the combined tablets. if you live in a hard water area, essential also to use salt. the dishwasher will dry quite well - it relies on the last rinse being hot and then the water just evaporates. most dishwashers work like that but some turn on the element for short periods during dry.

Hello,
I have looked at the users manual for this machine and it is not equipped with a drying cycle, so you need you used a Rinse Agent, like Jet Dry to get the result you desire.

I have a new stainless steel Samsung dishwasher. It doesn't seem to be drying properly. Dishes and dishwasher still very wet after cycle is completed.

Hello

Your dishwasher has been designed to use a liquid rinse aid. Pouring a liquid rinse aid into the proper recepticle in your dishwasher when you add dish detergent greatly improves drying performance. You can further improve drying performance by selecting the Sanitize option, in addition to the other options you've selected, and increasing the water temperature. For Best Results, use Jet-Dry Turbo

Spots and film form in your dishwasher's rinse cycle, when detergents are already down the drain. FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent works in the rinse cycle, lowering the surface tension of water and causing it to sheet. Better rinsing results in less spots and film.

If these recommendations do not improve drying time, please contact Samsung Customer Care

When we have finished the cycle there is water in the bottom of the machine, checked the filter this is clear opened the pipe work seems clear

its not uncommon to have water at the end of the programme providing the results are ok dont worry. most of the water is the drying steam condensing and running back to the sump. the dishwasher pumps this out at the begining of the next prog.

is it draining ok? Are the cycles really long? if yes it might be a control module problem also found on other models.

Bosch SHX33A runs continuously. Never finishes cycle.

I have a guide here to walk you through the process of clearing the drain system. You most likely have a clog somewhere and the dishwasher can't proceed because it would cause it to flood.

Bosch dishwasher she45m

Just bought a Bosch dishwasher and we were told that they have no heating mechanism to dry the dishes, which is why they are more energy efficient.  You are supposed to leave the door closed for at least one hour after the cycle is complete.  The heat that has built up inside during the wash cycle will dry the dishes.  It is also recommended to always use JetDry. If you follow this advice, the dishes will come out fine.
