Check power supply and
Flyback Transformer
So how do i check the power supply? I have been looking for info and parts for this TV but not found much yet
No, i dont work on TVs but i do work on high and low votage cuicits at work I think i can handle this with some help. After cleaning the dust and dirt off it seems to be OK .no burns or cracks.and there are about 4 transistor .they also look OK .im not sure witch is the horizontal output transistor? and the TV is RCA F32TF720 not a RCA 32F531T 32.
So I replaced the horizontal ouput transistor and now it appears that it is trying to start or turn on when i pug it in ,the LED for the on button lights and the gos out, on and off by its self for a few ,also I can hear a very faint chirp each time and then it stops.Do you think it is the flyback transformer?

Usually answered in minutes!
turn the back off ( screws first ), have a multimeter set to 250V dc, Black wire to ground
some of the components are similar on the link i have provide above
post voltages on the CRT socket pins
main board will be later
inspect flyback transformer for possible cracks , buldge capacitor,
check horizontal output transistor
Do not do these , if you have not done it before. and feel you cant.
have you seen the link above?
did you click on it .... flyback transformer
here is the link

the horizontal output transistor is the second image from the top of the page
just in case you need parts here

The HOT tested bad got one on the way we will see if that is all. Thanks for the help and i will let you know
On most it is the collector and emitter, thanks for choosing fixya for assistance
you are always welcome!
read the starting line of my tip:
a) Basically it has to be acted upon by a supply voltage of at least 95V to work.
another on d)
d) Having a B+ voltage reading of 75 V or lesser ( primary pins )
indicates a bad or partially shorted flyback,
assuming your horizontal output transistor
and power supply are good and OK
